I can re-read a good book about a month or more after originally reading it. I have a 10 book series that I've re-read about 6 times, the first few books I've re-read more though.

There are lots of books I've read twice. Countless, really (because I'm lazy). The only books I've read more than twice would be: The Lathe of Heaven; The Blackwidowers Club; The Andromeda Strain; The entire Peter Wimsey series; Anything by Kurt Vonnegut.
Why? God only knows. |

Yes. You usually find small details you missed the first go around.

Don't talk about it, be about it.

I can't reread a book even if I really like it. It just gets too boring for me to keep reading it because I already know the story. I'd rather read something new.

I have a poor memory. So I can get away with reading things more than once.
That, and if it's good, I love to revisit my favorite moments in a story. So yea, nothing wrong with re-reading books. Just as you can rewatch shows/movies. |

It's never a problem for me to reread books multiple times. I can often enjoy them more on subsequent reads, as the things I remember will increase. I have a love of trivia, so the little details (references, foreshadowing, etc.) amuse me just as much as the big picture does, and greatly enhance that overall enjoyment.

Depends, Ive read the Harry potter books lots of times; usually before a new release in the series. What I would do is basically catch up and reread all the previous installments and then read the new one. Happens with manga or anime as well, I would be in the mood for some old anime from my past and rewatch it like crazy. I have rewatched the ENTIRE dragonball franchise 11 times through out my life, same with Tenchi and other tittles.
I read twillight, and I thought it was garbage I couldnt even finish reading the second book. But I guess to each its own. |

Given that it's terribly written, misogynistic, and filled with characters that are intentionally written without any depth, I am surprised it is as popular as it has been. The fanfic that spawned off of it (50 Shades) is even worse, on all counts. |

If I really enjoyed the book, then I'll re-read it over as many times as I want.
I heard that you need to read a book at least 3 times to really understand it. I think this is partially true, because I'll re-read a book and there will be something I completely missed over. It's always interesting when that happens. |

Definitely! My memory kinda sucks so I get excited all over again! Or I get a weird nostalgia-ish deja-vu feeling, which is also good! Often times I notice new things as well. It's really the same for video games with me ^_^
