Sounds like great news. I wish I could watch it, but it's beyond where I would reach. Of some relevance, everyone must be reminded that Marvel uploaded all of "X-Men: Evolution" to YouTube.

This is more like the comic that I've loved. I couldn't bring myself to watch the watered down versions that plagued the US for so many years. This is just my opinion but US censors suck.

If this works out over there, I'd love to see them expand to X-Factor and X-Force.

I think Blade is the next on the list but who knows after that.

I wonder if they will do a Thor one after the movie

Anime Thor.....damn that would be cool

Japan has always been into Viking myth. At that a lot of their anime have viking gods in them.
Others take the names of viking hero's or viking classes.

But yeah Vikings are loved by the Japanese it seems.

Maby because its the closest to a Samaria race found on this planet.. And they still have there love for there warrior's who fight with no fear, and die with there swords in hand..

So I would not look past them making another Anime based on THOR...

Really comes down to what Marvel pays them to make. There is clearly some kind of a deal worked out.

X-men, Wolvie, Iron Man, Blade all had successful movies

Stands to reason Thor and Captain America are likely candidates assuming they do good in the theaters this year.

I wonder what the odds of FF, Daredevil or Ghost Rider animes are.

What a brilliant, nostalgic first episode. The characters looks fantastic and the voice work is sublime. I do anticipate the next episode with high intensity.

When does the next episode air?

Ok so I want to comment on this show. I love Japanese anime and how they see the world through their culture I get a sense of that through their own animation. America has attempted to mimic Japanese animation but without full understanding of it's culture the american versions of japanimation have failed at every turn. Thus we have simply learned to leave it be and stick with what we're good at. Japan has in turn attempted to mimic American comic culture into there anime. They faced the same problems we did, without full understanding of our culture there projects failed. Two examples of that are the japanese versions of Iron Man and Wolverine. The japanese bought the rights from marvel with the understanding that they would loosly modify it from it's orignal forms to better suit their demigraphic. They turned Iron Man into a Mecha Vs. Mecha anime (which is not the comics true intentions) and it failed, canceled after 1 season. They turned Wolverine into a skinny do gooder/samurai type almost completely taking away his badass qualities, and yet it again it failed and was also canceled after 1 season.

I am here to tell you that the Japanese learned from there mistakes and DID NOT GIVE UP! When purchasing the rights to X-Men they actually asked Marvel for help and Marvel did just that. American's and Japanese alike worked together hand and hand on this project and it succeded. They start the anime off in Upstate New York (as it was meant to be) not deviating from the comics original history much at all. Wolverine is a scary looking bulky badass (as he should be) and the entire feel of the show is unlike any Japanime I have seen before. It's like a ramped up version of the original X-Men. After seeing just one episode I can say this show is totally worth watching and is unlike anything I've seen before both from American media and Japanese. i fully recommend this Anime and give Kudo's to Marvel for working with Japan and helping make such a great show.

I like to correct you on a few things..
1, America can not attempt to mimic anime, because the word anime does not have a style. (its a word that just short for animeeshun the Japanese word for animated cartoon.)
2, the style that your talking about the cartoons styles like XXX Holic, originally that style came from early American comic's and animated cartoons, the manga artist liked the style and took it back to Japan with them.
3. Ironman both American movies have him fighting mechs, his comics half his fights are vs mechs or getting his tech back.

I do agree that X-men 2011 is Majorly badass,

I gather that Warren Ellis had a hand in writing the Iron man one.

This section illustrates just part of your misunderstanding of the Marvel anime project. None of them have been scheduled for more than 12 episodes from the start, so none of them have been "canceled after 1 season".

You also stated, "The japanese bought the rights...", which is also incorrect. The projects are a collaboration between Marvel Entertainment and Madhouse. You make it sound as if Madhouse approached Marvel, when in fact, it would be more accurate to state it was the other way around.
