I'm a total Byakuran fan! He's just one of those "misunderstood" characters for a lack of betters words in my opinion. And, all those things you said about him, totally true! I was also very confused on why he was the bad guy when I first read the manga, but I just couldn't hate him. He didn't seem like the "bad guy" type.
