I think I would make a sticky thing called Word of the Day and add a bunch of Japanese words there. At first I would going to make regular Word of the Day posts, but then I wouldn't want to spam. So, a sticky could be there for those who would want it. I would get permission from the creater, first tho. Well, sounds good to me. It is an "Asian" group after all, might as well have some language related things. I'm not so sure if it should be a sticky, but you do as you will. Thank you, yinfire, for your contribution to the group. Actually, I have no idea how to make a sticky. ![]() You have to turn modding on.....And, I think it has something to do with the sticky thing at the top. The sticky number and stuff. Oh. yeah. I figured it out. Thanks. I just didn't want to spam. But I guess I would just put all of the words of the day everyday in that post so I guess a stick isn't necessary. Do u want to make a link on the profile page about your "word or the day" to make it more noticeable for the members?..... I don't know what you're talking about. i mean,,,, ur word for the day is in the forums ryt?... so to make it visible to the members let's put a link on the profile page of the group... You mean, my post is only visible to mods and regular members can't see it? and what do you mean, "put a link on the profile page"? My profile page? You want me to put a link on my profile that leads to the group? I'll put it in simpler terms for you to understand. What Petrouni is trying to explain to you is if you wanted to put a link of the "thread/topic/post", whatever you want to call it, ON the main profile page of the GROUP. (not your profile) That way, it can increase the chances of it being much more noticeable to the other members of the group instead of your post being absolutely ignored. Hope that clears things up. If you still don't understand, then I don't know how else to explain. ^^ Don't patronize me. I may not be tech-savvy but I'm not stupid. I don't really care if people ignore my post. That is no concern to me. It's a sticky, either people would read or it they will not. Wasn't trying to and didn't say you were either. Just trying to make things clear for you, no need to get offended. As a mod, I'm just trying to help. Again, thank you for your contribution to the group. I understand that you were only trying to help, and I appreciate it. But it still came off as belittling and offensive. You said a bunch of things that weren't necessary. "I'll put it in simpler terms for you to understand......If you still don't understand, then I don't know how else to explain." It is all patronizing, belittling, and offensive. I do not appreciate being spoken to in that manner. |

We need to talk to each other nicely and don't say things that can sound or seem to be offending. ![]() |
