Plot synopsis (from MAL):

PV here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0UFtmzfs3MQ

You can watch it here on CR!
Unless you are unfortunate enough to live in one of those EU countries not licensed...like me...

So here it is finally, one of my most anticipated shows this season. Yes this non-moe so hurrah!! Also bonus points for Hanazawa Kana.

Anyway this show revolves around the theme of time travel and causal events. So mystery and suspense is to be expected, possibly a plot twist here and there too. If anyone like the original CHAOS;HEAD series then this is a must watch.

IMO this show is very promising, although ep 1 was a little slow paced and only picking up towards the end. However there is just so much potential and if executed right, it could prove to be very exciting. The main character is kind of a doofus set in a very serious and dark toned world which makes it interesting. He's also an adult and not another stupid high school kid. Have yet to examine the female characters.

Actually I have seen Chaos;Head and I didn't like... Only reason I finished it was because for some reasons I wanted to see the ending.
Maybe this one will do the same. I'll give it a try...

Lol.

I was really disappointed with the lighting in the LQ webrip. Hopefully the TV version looks much better. The first ep felt a little rushed too - luckily there is 24 episodes set or it would be worse...

The first episode was really confusing, but I'll give the anime a chance.

Chaos Head was really bad imo, therefore Im not going to watch this show, since apparently it has some relation to Chaos Head

Unless the anime is just so incredibly weird that i get the urge to see it

That is a very misleading synopsis. This series has nothing to do with Chaos;Head and whoever wrote that took too much liberty in linking the two titles. The only similarities they share are that they are both from the same game company and the titles resemble each other.

Saw it on Nico live, having read the vn, I'm going to say with confidence that it looks like it will do justice.

I'm surprised not many people seem to like this so far. It takes place 1 year after the events in Chaos Head and they're both set in Akihabara but aside from that I'm pretty sure the plot and characters of the two animes aren't supposed to be related. I think its pretty interesting so far and Kyouma is great. Hes part genius and part crazy and paranoid. It seems like this will be good to watch as the plot seems like it will be pretty interesting.

Although I know you are trying to say they are not related, Steins;Gate doesn't take place 1 year after the events in Chaos Head. By saying that, you're implying they have the same settings and are related. The two titles just happens to take place in the same named area.

That's just like saying "Beverly Hills Ninja (1997) takes place 3 years after the events in Beverly Hills Cops III(1994)". They just happen to share the same locale. That's it. There is no taking place after the events since they are totally unrelated.

'First episode was trash... Sorry but the main character wile resembling me in so many ways, would be ok if backed with a better plot set up. But the first episode fails to give us any true sense of the series.. or if it has, then I can not expect much from this series.

I see your point but I didn't write the plot synopsis, and I can't be bothered to change it. Chill out, no one said it was related to Chaos;Head.

Well I'm sorry you didn't enjoy it. To be fair I thought it was a slight let down since I had very high hopes for this. Ha bear with it though, I thought Madoka was terrible until ep 3 so you never know...Besides 1 ep is way to soon to draw conclusions regarding the plot.

I'm going to carry on with this since its a bit of a dry season with regards to non slice-of-life shows...

I hope this is supposed to be mind-twisting like chaos;head. I actually started to watch chaos;head once and gave up after an episode or two. I then tried it again later on when I was stoned, and it totally drew me in. I think you just have to be in the right frame of mind to enjoy that sort of thing. I think I'll wait to check this out until I have some bud

@OP I concur with the bonus points for Hanazawa Kana.

Completely stand alone series so not a sequel. Although they both take place in the same universe and town, with Stein;Gate a year after Chaos;Head. Don't expect any references although I wouldn't be surprised if a few were thrown in there.
