So Ep3 is out, what did everyone think?

Personally, the more I watch this the more I enjoy it. But this is not a casual anime, in fact to get the most out of it you have to know quite a lot about otaku culture in Japan as well as some scientific background. Oh man I was cracking up when they mentioned "sage" and "ID get".

Also for those interested, search up IBM 5100 and John Titor in wikipedia, all real. If you like conspiracy theories you'll love this. The plot is coming along nicely and the characters well defined.

Oh for those who do not get 2ch memes, I'll briefly explain here:

Chaos Head was really bad imo, therefore Im not going to watch this show, since apparently it has some relation to Chaos Head

Unless the anime is just so incredibly weird that i get the urge to see it

I loved chaos head!!! It was awesome. takumi is just like me

I absolutely love the characters, Makise and Mayushii, mmmmm... can they become mah waifus?

Nothing much to discuss yet, but I'm really loving how everything's going. Loved when Daru and Okabe "trolled" Makise with the banana joke.

Yeah the show is actually very neat. They are changing some names to save face and avoid legal issues (SERN... ;p) but at the same time anyone who actually knows what they are talking about knows what they are referencing with all the @channel etc stuff. I impressed they are actually talking about what the LHC is used for too instead of trying to make some crap up. Because creating a small but stable black hole is exactly what it is supposed to do. They also brought up string theory but didn't really talk about it...

Definitely an anime for the more .... sci fi oriented/older viewer. To actually understand what is going on you will need to think about it, but at the same time they have done a good job of keeping the basics simple too. I would love to see some "super haker" try to cut into cerna's system in the real world though, considering they invented the internet for all intents I doubt they would succeed.

I thought the LHC was built to collide particles together to create bigger particles then examine their decay in hope of finding the elusive Higg's Boson, or "God" particle. At least that's what my physics teacher told me. I think the mini-black hole thing was a theoretical side-effect of creating super desnse particles but the scientists told us they are non-destructive

Enjoy your dose of Hana Kanazawa guys. And has anyone here played the VN for Steins;Gate?

I really appreciate how much effort was put into this - the explanation of the LHC, CERN, the dystopia mentioned by John Titor. All very interesting stuff.

The collision of dense particles is what causes the black hole to form, the idea is that the remains are what is the "god particle" which is a funny way of saying the destructive force that caused the big bang. It is pretty freakin complicated, I don't even pretend to really understand it this is just what I have gotten out of what I have read. It can actually do all sorts of stuff this is just what they are using it for ;p. But the idea that it can create a worm hole which allows time travel is actually something real scientists have discussed and is considered a possible use. Seriously look it up, there are very complex theories about it. I don't mean in the internet 4chan theory type either, I mean legitimate credited scientists are saying it.

Nice link by the way Asura, I have taken permanent brain damage but I feel like I can relate to Okarin more now so it was worth it.

well it's 2chan really since that 4chan is based off that board properties etc but yeah this anime has my mind full of cluster fu**s but it seems that it will probably level out in the end. I just get the strange feeling that it's going to re-set in some episodes like higurashi did, this is based off a mystery visual novel as well.

I knew it was a visual novel, but is there any translation of it? I remember actually getting an OXM demo disc with Steins;gate on it.

Late response but I don't think there's a translation or English patch for it. Shame because I really want to play the VN.

Now, onto Eppie 4. I have minor speculations going on. (Copied from my ANN post.)

Suzuha (?) mentions

Is it me or is Makise somewhat of a tsundere? I'm loving her character and Miss Airhead Mayushii.
