After drinking a bottle of Dr. Pepper.. i've got to think.. About EP 9

I tell you what, that ending sequence hooooooly crap.. Felt me some goosebumps right there.
And i'm told (from the wizards) who've played the VN, the metaphorical shit still hasn't hit the fan yet.

+ it's getting heavier yet still keeping the humour in, if this continues for the 2-cour run this'll be one of my favourites of all time, let alone this season or year.

Oh and you'd better listen to the sounds of the Houoinforest, it's quite therapeutic

Episode 9,

Ok, I'm officially confused now but I'm also piecing some things together.

Boy, am I inspired to learn more about science now . I wish science classes were this interesting.

Onto more discussion,

The comical scenes, once again, didn't fail to make me laugh.

(Response to a comment about 2 movies)

I've watched the movie The Butterfly Effect and parts of A Sound Of Thunder. I can't help but refer to the theories of time travel in both for this show, although Steins;Gate seems to be closer to The Butterfly Effect.

Steins;Gate
has my vote for best of this season. I wonder if they might cover The Snowball Effect... I'm putting many thoughts into this series but they might be proven false.

Good ep, can't believe Feyris-nyan used her D-mail to destroy Akihiba just to being her dad back...I love the fact that every episode ends with a twist though, I havn't seen a show this plot-intensive since code geass.

On a side note, does anyone know what meme they were referring to when they were calling Makisu a 2channer?

Well, what it got localized to was the Xzibit meme, which caused a bit of rage on 4ch to say the least.

But the original, I can't say for sure but apparently it's a phrase from Death Note that is popular on 2ch, which is kinda odd considering Okabe has the same VA as Light in Death Note (and he even says the infamous "keikaku doori" line before the meme reference.)

Apparently..

But the dialogue got the message across despite the localization mix-up

Why do I get the feeling that Steins;Gate will conclude in a bitter sweet ending. Knowing that the law of causality implied heavily in this series, Kyouma's misfortune will keep piling up until tragedy strikes.

We don't have any clue on who killed Kirusu in the first episode.

WHERES MAH MOE GONE!?

Oh well, business as usual. That is until..

I have a feeling everything will fit neatly into place, eventually. With small knocks and blows up until the sh*t hits the fan.

My only problem is that i have to wait an entire week for more SCIENCE

WHY CAN'T I HOLD ALL THIS SCIENCE?

Too lazy to type out theories and stuff right now, I'll do that later.

Favorite part of the episode: TSUNDERE Makise, HNNNNNNNNNG.

If I only drank Dr. Pepper while watching this and had a labcoat, imagine the things I would do.

But yea, lots of interesting stuff this episode.

EDIT:

Episode 11

( Nobody posted a new post after this original post)

Bunch of funny scenes this episode.

But... My favorite scene

Suzuha as a seductress, that was funny. The future seems like a funny place to be during.

To make up for the lack of Tuturu~ for the past 2 episodes, we got it three times today.

Consider the debt paid.

Anyway.. The dialogue between HOUOIUN KYOUMA and KURISUTINA.. which has been lacking of late has returned and in full hilarious force, and the plot is showing it's teeth with the quicksand slowly ( ) enveloping this maddo scientisto's operation.

If Mayuri and Kurisu aren't the OTP by now then i don't know what is.

I just started watching this anime, and Im rolling through it and im on episode 7.

And I have so many damn questions, I mean I could read through this forum, but I want to get back to watching the episode as soon as possible.

I dont get this whole traveling to the past thing. Its already established that going back in time makes the world split into 2 parts every time its used. Therefore wouldnt the time that they send the text message be in a different dimension?

Like if its 8 PM right now. And Im the main character. I send a message for 2 hours in the past. I do it. Now I am in the past. What happens to the reality of the time that I sent the original message?

Also, I dont understand the actuality of how the microwave works. Do they actually need to open the door while doing it? I guess they dont, since they ripped the door off. Fuck....I cant even remember my question....I knew it had something to do with the 12 PM and the 8 PM that they orignally did their first 2 messages.....but Im not even sure now.

But another question I have is this. Ignoring the whole what happens to the original reality of when the message was sent. How does somebody like Daru NOT change the past when they recieve the message? If his message told him about the card placements for that random card game he played with Feyris....then why didnt it alter the past? It would seem that the only logical explanation I could say would be he simply ignored it....which to me sounds stupid....since Moeka sent a message to herself in the past....and it did alter the past in some sort of meaningful way.

I know Im not expecting any total science on this issue....but something tells me I have totally missed something here....so Im thinking you guys would know......I guess I really should read this forum though

Is it weird that I've been drinking Dr. Pepper A LOT lately? I wonder what could have caused this. I find it very intellectually stimulating....

The time they sent the message back (or perhaps more accurately, when it was acted upon, creating a difference) would be the divergence point. Think of the timeline as the branch of a tree, going off from the main branch, and those branches then able to have their own branches, ad infinitum.

Oh ok, that makes sense.

ALso, Im on episode 8 now, and I have another question. Figured you would know.

They are trying to turn w/e his face is into a girl now. I thought that it would be impossible to even attempt it because the microwave count down represents 1 hour for every 1 second it counts down right? It starts at 120 seconds....yet how in the world is 120 hours going to revert him back to before he was born?

I am obviously missing something here. I am under the impression that you can go only as far back as when you open the microwave and how much time has been counted down from

Edit: Also, one more thing. If they send a text message to the past and it doesnt change anything.....then why are they always in different spots after the text message is sent?

Actually, even if it did affect that individual person....why would the rest of the people be in different poisitions anyway?
