When the devastating earthquake and tsunami hit Japan, we reached out to the Crunchyroll community to help their relief efforts.

You guys went above and beyond our expectations and raised over US $55,000! Your voice will be heard loud and strong throughout Japan and the anime industry. Thank you all for your compassion!

We've decided to submit 100% of the proceeds to The Association of Japanese Animations (AJA) in the next few days, who is aggregating all relief donations from the anime industry, and then submitting it to the Japanese Red Cross. With it, we will also be submitting a list of all your usernames and donation amounts.

Thanks again for your help! We are all proud of you

lol was looking at your status message. I don't think its even possible to keep in touch with that many people unless you made it your full time job.

$55k? Awesome. Ganbare Nippon. It's nice to see somethings are slowly returning to normal, but there's still a lot of work to be done.

The real challenge hasn't even begun. Time to fix that radiation and that massive collateral damage. Quite afew areas will need an voerhaul and will seriously need to be cleaned up, and elts not forget the morbid task of finding bodies of the less fortunate....

Good job everyone, thank you for supporting Japan. This will most definitely help them bounce back even quicker, hopefully.

This is really impressive, and gives a little hope for the future of us as a species. People need to remember its Humans Vs. Stuff not Country Vs. Country or Color Vs Color.
