well ep 2 is out but raw... i decided to take a look at it because i kinda knew it would be just like the ova everything isn't completely similar (talking about the animation itslef) but the same thing takes place

well they censored everything and i literally mean everything. if you seen 4piece its censorship is thatbad but less believeable thats how bad toei butcherd it.

I knew that their wouldn't be gore but it shouldn't be story wrecking.

I'll just have to wait and see it myself.

it sort of is since the point of the show is to hunt food but they remove all references to smoking and possibley drugs later on toriko doesnt smoke and even worse they do the animals weird *another reason why i wanted pierrot to do it since looking at letter bee they can do animals beautifully*

I just watched it. The animal designs are colourful but not necessarily bad. I don't mind the lack of gore -- if I wanted to see animal vomit I'd just watch a documentary. I also don't mind that they didn't show Toriko smoking since it's not a large part of his character and it's better that little kids aren't influenced. The music is great and the voice acting is fine, although I much preferred how Komatsu was voiced in the OVA.

it reminds me of a cross between Monster Hunter and impossible creatures with hints of DBZ

is it normal to get the munchies after watching this anime?

I hate the censorship but i like this manga and I hope the anime doesnt get too much stuff cut out or there will be a serious problem.

As compared to Toei (FUNimation) and the manga (Viz)'s version there's a huge gap.

From book #1 there were several edits from the anime that I've noticed

toriko is really a good one anime .. it's not like any orher cooking-anime . with the uniqu food and the fighting scenes . toriko surely can be similarized with other top animes .. lluckily the magazine in my country already published toriko before the anime started .

OH MAN the food im eating right now is so inferior. The food looks so good it makes me cry X_(

I've been reading the manga series since last year and I have to say its awesome. The types of food, the appearance of the food, and their orgasmic faces the characters make while eating the food makes me really envious.
