Oh you lose marks if you don't show you're working out so:

48÷2(9+3)

48/2= 24
9+3 = 12

24 x 12 = 288

Is the forums suddenly a place to help children with their math homework?

But the answer is 2. Ad what's in the parenthesis first, then multiply. THEN divide. Simple ..
