I'm in every honors class I can take, other than Japanese because I don't like it enough, but I skipped out on grabbing an AP. xD (because they're full-year courses and not one semester and I can only take one semester of extra stuff (only APs are history which sophomores don't take, so they're extra) because I took my semester of Health Ed during the summer and still have to do second semester of College & Career)

But, yeah. I IS SMART CHILDS. And I like showing that off because non-honors people don't know that the normal and honors classes are secretly pretty much the same. So it's not as big a deal as some paint it.

JOURNALISM. I will write for the school paper! It's a student-run class, too~

I'm not known for bragging! xDDD I'm known for my epic awesomeness.

...Also, jeez. My grade has ~750 students, and the incoming freshman class this year had even more. My school is big. xD

Lol.

Lowell High School is a large school. But private colleges like Stanford, Harvard, etc. hate us. D: It's cause Lowell is one of the two abnormal-submission public schools in San Francisco. The first is SOTA, where former-Squalo-don'tevenknowwhattocallheranymoresoI'llstickwithSqualo,okay? goes. To get into School of the Arts, you audition for whatever you're going for- Creative Writing (Squalo), Theater, Dance, an instrument, Theater Tech (people who want to go to SOTA but can't do anything artistic, SORRY CARLIN I LOVE YOU).

Lowell is a smarty school. x3 Unless your mom died and you filed for tragedy or something, or you are an epic sports hero, you apply using the grade option. Basically, you have to get straight As in seventh and eigth grade. More than two Bs in seventh OR one B in eighth, and you no longer qualify. I believe I got one B in seventh... for... something? I don't even remember. Some people get in 'cause they're minorities and stuff like that.

But, yeah. SOTA kids are loved at universities for being artistic and fun and stuff, but if you went to Lowell, it's all, "Oh, we don't want smart kids who took forty-seven APs even though we're Harvard and that's what our reputation is, we want those special kids that bring the light into a classroom! Those kids that wrote a novel! Blah blah blah." One kid from Lowell, on average, gets into Stanford every year, out of 750-800 that graduate every year here. Compare that to Hebrew Academy where my cousin went, where they taught you almost nothing and the graduating class had twenty people- eight got in! Because they didn't go to Lowell!

I am bitter.

Woweee. O:

Stanford? Mann, you're school is smart. :I

*clears throat* Okay, lemme tell you about my school! >8D

General Wolfe Elementary (NOOO. We did NOT name ourselves after the wolf. D<) is a small, red-bricked building right smack in the middle of Vancouver. Being an elementary school, we're not exactly known for anything. Our academics are... average. Our sport teams are.... average. Most of the graduates got to Eric Hamber, which is the high school that is DOMINATED with asians. (No racism intended, it's the truth. :x) Okay, well there's not much happening here. -_- Oh, oh, oh. We have like the most AWESOMEST band/computer teacher ever. (: Sooo yeah. Other than that, we're a pretty average school. :I

Have you seen this picture before?

Sweet, isn't it?

It's famous mostly in Canada. (I'm not sure if it's known in America.) It's a World War II picture. The photographer didn't intend to take this, it was just at the spur of the moment, which makes it really special. (:

Well guess what? That kid in the picture used to go to General Wolfe! C:

Well that's it. :I My school's pretty laaame. x)

That's adooorable~! x3 It's not as well known here, I admit, but I have seen the picture before, when studying WWII. :)

Elementary schools generally don't have as much reputation as high schools, so no worries. ;D Anyways, it's my school that's extraspeshul, not yours that's below-average (I was getting that impression of your mood, so I apologize if I put that into your head ^^")

San Francisco is, like, 50% Asian, and Lowell is 80% Asian. xDD
