![]() Hidan no Aria Synopsis The story takes place in Tokyo Butei High School, a special school where armed detectives — "Butei" — are trained to use weapons. Kinji Tooyama is a second-year-student who has a special ability, but he keeps it a secret to maintain an ordinary, peaceful life. However, when he gets caught in a bombing on the way to school, he encounters H. Aria Kanzaki, the most powerful S-Rank Butei student in Assault Studies. ------ I liked the first episode. The weapons and stuff kinda reminded me of Angel Beats! and HOTD. The protagonist is okay, I guess. At least he's not a weakling. It's all good, I finally found an anime this spring season that I will be looking forward to each week. I hope it gets better, though. Kugimiya Rie again? Well IDC i like her. <3 |

Will you still love me when I'm no longer young and beautiful?

I follow the manga on this and its pretty good, although this being JC Staff I can't help but think they will mess up the ending...just look at yumekui merry...
Still, Rei does suit generic tsundere roles, while I have grown a little tired of them they do manage to keep me entertained at least. So all in all I wont be expecting this to be a ground breaking series like Madoka but should be enjoyable while it lasts. |

You're platinum mad.

I find my disbelief suspenders kinda stretched by a high school for free lance mercenary law enforcement students. but I'm enjoying it anyway. The first episode was pleasantly amusing.

The first episode was pretty good. It was quite entertaining. I really liked the double personality character of the main guy and the syndrome he has is actually true. The savant part anyway
. I don't really get the last part but I give it a thumbs up anyway |

I.. I think i'm tired of this now
I mean i love J.C Staff, Toradora and raildex are among my favourite shows. And with the Toradora duo in an action show made by J.C staff that should work right? Nope. Maybe i'm tired of Rie's Tsundere roles, maybe i'm too focused on the realism of the school aspect, maybe its because none of the characters seemed endearing in the slightest.. but this show just hasn't worked for me atleast. Was the OP sung by May'n? because i feel even that was lackluster. compared to what she's done in the past SO its a no for me, The main character basically said he has chronic hero syndrome with a side effect of douchebaggery - can't see that becoming anything other than annoying |

Guest appearances do not count. |

This. Other than my nitpick on her voice acting role, this show has two directions. Direction 1: Become a mediocre harem show (which I don't mind much) or Direction 2: Become awesome with guns and stawf. The first episode shows nothing much but the protagonist running from the "Butei Killer" and meeting up with the title character. A flashback occurs explaining the main character's situation, and his daily life. Nothing interesting here, but it got better towards the end. When the action kicks in, things got more fun and enjoyable. At least till the tsundere-brat talks. |

i see where your going with this i do but well things could be worse for the main male lead he could be a complete pussy like in to love ru onamira himira or eve rosio to vampire, at least he has SOME BALLS on him for chirst sakes, but i do see what your saying but hey it's been nearly 2 years since rie really had any main leading roles like this. Guest appearances do not count. Yeah i do like the fact that the MC does have a spine, as well as the brains to know he's got a problem when it comes to his.. err... "Illness" whatchamacallit, he still kinda came across as a bit of a douche to that girl at the start who was already willing to bend over backwards for him. The main problem is the that school setting reminds me of the Infinite Stratos school. My problem being with that model is(and maybe i'm looking into this too much) i expect these hardened-action-agent characters to be hardened. When he went into the class at the end it was just a normal class entrance only the main girl stopped it with guns rather than throwing chairs. So yeah i'll give it one more, but this season is suprising me with more good shows than last season so its harder to follow alot of shows. this didn't wow me in any way, but it was more entertaining than A-channel and they put.. quite a bit of effort into the gun animations. although i haven't forgiven J.C Staff for that GODAWFUL Yumekui merry ending. |

Aria herself actually does have a good back story although it'll probably be a few episodes before they get to it. I'm just hoping that the anime doesn't get cut short or is altered from the manga too much. |

Well, a harem might actually work, but i feel this show is trying to be more serious than comical, but then again a plot revolving around the characters being armed to the teeth is going to make the harem awkward. Even more so with Tsun Rie. Don't get me wrong i love Rie Kugimiya as a VA, she's played some characters i'll always remember but she's just coming across with the watered down feeling as usual, or atleast in this show. I sense this show trying to be serious, and having a rocky road trying to get there |

Sorry about that, but Yumekui Merry being from J.C Staff has probably made me too critical of this. YM had BUCKETLOADS of potential and i tried to love it as a show, but the way it went was... well up to you to decide. I get a sense that with the "lesser" JC staff projcts like Yumekui and Ookami-san last year - you really have to be more wary than normal. Hidan no Aria gives me the exact same feeling |
