Impressions on Ano Hana/ Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai
|
I loved it, I loved ever freaking minute of the epiosde. Call me a sucker for drama/slice of shows but it is so well animated and look so good that I just can't help but love this show. I really do wish cr picked this up so I wouldn't have to stick the "other method" but I will find a way to support this series, it's just that damn good. Here is the story synopsis if case anyone is wondering.
"We still don't know the name of the flower we saw that day".?), also known as AnoHana, is a 2011 Japanese anime television series produced by A-1 Pictures under the direction of Tatsuyuki Nagai. The series follows Jintan, a shut-in, who gets a request to fulfill a wish of one of this childhood friends, Menma. In order to grant Menma's wish, Jintan must find and reunite with four other friends who have grown apart since graduating high school. I know that i will be watching every episode with a passion so what are you thoughts and opinions on this one? Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide |

I found it to be fairly good, but annoying at times. Personally I'd say that while it's better than most the average animes this season, it's not quite good enough to compete with the better ones this season, such as Hanasaku Iroha..

This one seems very interesting.
Tear jerking, been awhile since I almost cried. Menma was really cute, a shame it`s was. This one will most likely get a very high score from me. |

Quote me if you want me to notice it :P

This will probably turn out to be best show this season for me, depending on how Steins;Gate perform.
Honestly I havn't felt this touched by a drama show since Clannad AS... Bravo. |

Skimmed through the raw, there didn't seem to anything interesting. Of course, I'm most likely wrong. Still interested in it though, I'll get to watching it later today.

Wow. Just WOW
Ok I thought Hanasaku was going to be the Slice of life of the season. But I was wrong. This episode put me in tears literally....probably me overreacting a tad bit....but damn that was sad. To think about it. The leader of a group that was full of friendship and everyone trusted each other. And one simple comment is what destroyed it all. Poor Menma. Poor Yadomi. But how did Menma die? I at first thought she killed herself due to her being called ugly....but since she even mumbled to herself that she knew she was dead.....I wonder if it was an accident? Like maybe while she was saddened by being called ugly....she fell down into the lake and drowned or something. Anyways, this is definitely my pick for best anime of the season....at least in the Slice of life/drama category. |

Amazing episode, met my expectations.
I pretty much figured out what happened to Menma as I watched though. I always find these sort of stories a bit saddening, friends growing apart and loosing their bonds. - Take 5 CM Per Second as an example. |

The first episode was a roller coster of emotions. It was great and had a nice setup for the rest of the season. Im definetly looking forward to seeing the rest of this anime. I just hope it has a happy ending.

I think I just found the best anime this season. Wow I loved it. I'm gonna keep watching till it ends.

Will you still love me when I'm no longer young and beautiful?

Well, I loved the show and I only felt moved by the characters' problem. I would be moved to tears if they had more time to do character development before the tragedy was revealed.
Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide I don't think kids her age commit suicide for something so simple as one comment, but it certainly sat heavy on Kin-tan's shoulders for several years. If anyone has seen The Bridge to Terabithia and saw the scene where the girl dies trying to cross the river one day that the boy didn't go with her and that may be his survivors guilt. I'm not surprised that he's the only one that sees her, but she is apparently not just a figment of his imagination as she can manipulate objects as she uses doors and bumps into things. I just hope the end of the series has a miracle instead of just fading away when they all come back together. |

I was totally unprepared for this show. Granted, it only took me a few minutes to realize what was going on, but it was all the better that the show didn't try to hide it and just took full advantage of it. It's been awhile since I've seen a show with such a powerful first episode (a certain Shonen Sunday baseball anime comes to mind first...) and I absolutely cannot wait for the next episode - this and Hanasaku Iroha alone will make Spring 2011 one fantastic season.
