Hello all. I just want to get a talk about all the old school anime that aired in the late 90s and early 2000s. This topic was made due to the fact that CR seems to be getting the right to air and sub alot of anime we grew up on. I would like to talk about some of the anime that the newer generation might have missed out on. I'll list a few lesser know series.

Zoids- both zero century and chaos century.
Macross (aka Robotech)
Yu Yu Hakusho
and Rurouni Kenshin (aka Samurai X)

I may have listed all from toonami but we all can agree that toonami was the major factor for anime's popularity.

Zoids, Macross, YuYuHakusho, Flame of Recca, Dragon Ball, Gundam, Cowboy Bebop, Trigun.

My little brother's always watching crappy cartoons so after school I always go on Netflix and look for some good anime to watch with him

Candy candy, Touch, and for the older Crunchy fans Madbull34.

Those anime had top of the line characters and stories, not so much madbull34 but it had something else that made it bad ass.

Crunchyroll currently has the following vintage series available:

* the Japanese Anime Classic Collection
* Speed Racer (1967)
* Gaiking (1976)
* Galaxy Express 999 (1978)
* Captain Harlock (also 1978)
* the original Gundam TV series (1979)
* Golion (Fron 1981. It's one of the two TV series that was later adapted into Voltron... the other source was Dairugger.)
* Fist of the North Star (the 1983 TV version)
* Sherlock Hound (1985)

I may have missed a few. And there's some recent anime series on CR which are based on much-older source material.

The oldest video I've watched from start to finish was the Castle of Cagliostro movie. It was made in 1980, and based on the long-running Lupin the Third franchise.

My first anime was Candy Candy October (1976) of course It was 1985 wen I seen it for the first time.

My top classic anime that I love more than any other anime to this day was "TOUCH" serialized in the weekly manga magazine Shōnen Sunday from 1981–1986. The manga was also adapted into a 101-episode TV anime series, which was one of the highest-rated television anime series EVER! Touch was one of the winners of the 1983 Shogakukan Manga Award for shōnen or shōjo manga, along with Adachi's Miyuki.
