I thought we could do a list reccomending our favourite books. First fav has to be the bible of course but there's some great christian authors out there.

Just to start the list one author ive come across is Frank Peretti. I've read three of his books The Visitation, House and Monster. They are all supernatural Thrillers so if you dont like a bit of scariness then these are not for you.

Another book ive just recently started reading is Authority in prayer by dutch sheets. So far its been quite helpful providing me with some great passages and understanding of more of the bible.

I liked Screw Tape letter. The Chronicles of Narnia are also great. Some Ted Dekker and Frank Perreti books are good to.

My all time favorite, however, is A Wrinkle in Time.

The Narnia books are poisonous trash. Susan is denied salvation for being sexual, the whole Calorman people are a thinly disguised jab at Islam (justified its slightly worse than your silly religion) and Arabs (racist and nonsensical), not to mention the whole idea Lewis seems to have of childhood as this wonderful thing with adulthood and sexuality as awful things. Lewis was in many ways a supercilious fool and his books are entertaining for children but are truly poisonous trash.

A Wrinkle in Time is wonderful I admit though I find L'Engles moderate Christianity to be moronic

I think a good book is The Question of God by Dr. Armand M. Nicholi, Jr.

It's pretty much a book that presents arguments concerning God's existence and other things. The side opposing it is Sigmund Freud (atheist) and the side supporting it is C.S. Lewis (atheist turned Christian).

I recommend this book especially for those who are struggling with believing that there is a God.
