Astarotte no Omocha! Episode 1 Astarotte no Omocha! episode 2 So far it has been a slightly funny sweet anime, with some adult jokes. But to the most part its been a PG anime, You find anime made for 8 year olds like Naruto more perverted at times than this show. But the characters and stories are sweet, plus a few jokes that you will only get after your mature makes it acceptable for all ages. (just like Bugs bunny and other cartoons that mix in adult jokes with children cartoons to entertain all ages.) 1st episode was more targeted at introducing the cast the will revolving around the main character. 2nd episode explains why the succubus has a hate for males. (there was a few funny moments.) In my opinion its a adorable anime made for all ages to enjoy. An so I suggest this anime for everyone no matter their age. |

Just saw the first episode. LOL when I read the description I thought for sure this was gonna have some supper ecchi scenes but so far, none.
I can't say I'm fond of the idea of drinking "that" in order to survive but I'll stick with this one for now. |

Will you still love me when I'm no longer young and beautiful?

In the second episode they said she can take "life seed" from the lips which suggests that it might not be that. Some stories of the Succubus have them feeding off life force rather than bodily fluids.

She said that it "starts with" the lips, implying it is a bit ritualistic in approach. The ritual of sexual intercourse begins with kissing. This isn't really the point to be discussing. Obviously there's going to be no sex scenes in this anime... It is a detail that's supposed to be laughed at as well. I find the show to be quite commendable for its lighthearted behavior. It really is quite uplifting, manages to make me smile plenty. |

in a lot of ways it reminds me of a fantasy setting version of Hayate no Gotoku. It's pretty clear that the focus of the show is simply going to be getting the princess to learn not to hate men so that she doesn't starve to death when she becomes an adult.
The Male lead seems like he is going to be more of a father figure than a mate. The Loyal Sebastian always there to protect her and obey her every order no matter how selfish or dangerous, offering nothing more than a warm smile, a bow and a "yes your highness" |

On their feet and grovelling like water fleas! :D Oh! And i know alot of us are weaboo or not versed in basic japanese sound FX and what not, but touching up on the "it starts with the lips" the word "Chu~chu~" is the japanese FX equal to "smooch" i.e. a KISSING SOUND. so follow your dirty little minds down more to the gutter with the rest of us. "Life Seed" Starts at lips and SMOOCH! Alot of dirty people are concluding that means fellatio. Is it implied that way on purpose? Yeah sure is, funny huh? Thats called laughing at a joke, somehow alot of people are turning away in disgust thinking this shows about Loli Sex. If it was, rest assured Kugimiya would not be playing the lead seiyuu. Maybe Kitamura Eri would, but not her. I <3 Eri-chan though so anywayz. Im drinking beer and its 1am, (root beer) maybe time to log off? |

Never seen an anime actually go so far to imply just about everything without actually having to clarify anything. Cartoons tend to do this more... |

I have to add that Wikipedia is a lot more explicit, having been written with information from the manga: Because when she fully matures, her body will require a regular supply of semen to keep from wasting away, much like a vampire requires blood. But again I reiterate there will be no sex, this is not a hentai. This isn't really even classified as ecchi. That detail is a part of the mode of humor, it will not be the end-objective of this show because it is a romance-comedy. |

With a premise like this show has, you'd think there's be dirtier jokes involved, but no. It's just been a funny show.

If it stays relatively close to the manga, which it has so far, more or less, then the jokes will get a bit dirtier. Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide Manga chapter 6 includes a bit of dialog where an adult male, in nothing but a mask and cape, who has broken into the princesses's room and exposed himself is told by Asuha that his dick is small, whereupon she strips Naoya of his bath towel, causing Asarotte and the flasher to see him and think "monster cock" and "a horse?!" respectively. Chapter 14 has a scene on the beach featuring multiple nude sunbathers, one of who is explicitly stated to be a futanari. However the characters involved are drawn with the usual concealing hair, speech bubbles, SFX, etc. in both incidents. Not something I'd recommend to kids under 13, even though I was watching worse by then and I suspect that many would be able to get the humor. I do have to wonder if the CR translation isn't at least slightly censoring the show, in terms of dialogue at least, since the manga is rather more blunt about the "life seed"/"semen" issue, among others. |

However, the above quoted comment has no place in this thread. If you think Loli = Pedophilia, head over to another forum. Also, how do you know how Pedophiles approach kids? Is that how you roll? |
