The first video I saw of her's was "Ex-Boyfriend". And I really liked the beat and her voice. Then after I looked up more of her songs and I liked a lot of them and ever since then I've been I fan. I even have all her CD's and most of her singles.

I was searching for news about Japanese music when I read her biography on a website. I was surprised that a Black girl was a Japanese singer. Then much much later (2 or 3 months later lol) I saw the videoclip "Kitto eien ni" and I liked it. And so I began to search for some information about her music and videos^^ I'm going to buy her album "Call me miss", which is my favourite one.

It was actually 3 or 4 years ago when she was really young.. I was watching a program on black/asian artist and they featured her video Girl U Love.. I said wow that girl is cute, note I was 13 at the time ^_^ so yeah my hormones were running wild when I saw her lmao Since it was 2002 and I didn’t have internet access yet nor was I from Japan I had limited access to information on her until I finally found this site.. Since this site I’ve followed her music career pretty avidly.

It started recently when I watched one of Music Station's November 2007 videos. Crystal performed Shining in that show and I find the song pretty catchy and her dark skin catch my attention. So I decided to check on her infos and her albums and I kinda hooked with her songs.

Me and my friends were having an argument about different types of couples. I argued about how there are many asian/black couples and did a search on wikipedia. I went to "blasian" celebrities and saw her name. Wiki said that "ex-boyfriend" was a popular song and I looked for it on youtube, and I've been a fan ever since...

I was really into Namie Amuro at the time, and Kuri just bumped her out of the picture...

I can't quite remember how I got into her. I just happened to find her when I was looking for some good J-Pop, and I've been into her music ever since.

Watched FullMetal Alchemist and heard Motherland. Then I did some research and fell in love with her other songs. I wanna be like her when I get older (except I'm not huge into pop)...

I was watching something on on Demand on Comcast called "PopJapanTV" and they interviewed her. I watched the whole thing since i was amazed she was African. I heard her singing Ex-Boyfriend and fell in love with her. After that i started listening to more songs from her. She's awesome ^^

I loved R&B music ever since I was like 7 and I LOVE Asian orchestral instrumentals, whether it's featured in anime, movies, or just music itself. I dunno it's totally different from the European classical music, it has that more positive grandiose uplifting feeling when you listen to it, Japanese music is always upbeat and positive though in my opinion. But yea...I saw her featured on PopJapanTV some years back and I first heard her Boyfriend Part II on there, I was like 'I gotta add her to my iPod!' lol. Ever since then I been researching for every one of her songs and the reason I listen to her is because she has a beautiful voice which is definitely fit for one of the top singers in the R&B category and how her songs are mixed with Japanese orchestra, it's quite unique..what really tops it off is the fact that she's Black & Korean but speaks Japanese, now you don't see that everyday, unique individuals with God-given talent like that. I love seeing people of color doin' it big. And do I even have to mention how bad she is!? Lol.

I heard Girlfriend feat BoA from her on YouTube. I really liked it and started listening to more of her music ^^
I'd never heard of any blasian Japanese singers before, so I thought that was interesting as well
