The title says it all. Post some cool trivia that maybe some people don't know about! ^_^

Here are a few. . .
In all of the handheld generations so far, the professors are named after trees. (Oak, Juniper, etc.)

Ekans spelled backwards is Snake
Arbok spelled backwards is Kobra
Though the spelling of cobra is wrong. -_-

Articuno = Uno
Zapdos = Dos
Moltres = Tres
As in, one, two, three in Spanish.

Eevee, Ho-oh, and Girafarig are palindromes, meaning the word stays the same when you spell it backwards.

So, if you know any funny or maybe not very well known trvia, post em' here!

Actually, in japanese, Pikachu litterally means "Sparkle Mice Noise."

Let's stop posting opinions people! Facts are needed.

Clefairy was originally going to be the official mascot of Pokémon, but Pikachu was used instead due to the popularity of the anime and Pikachu's familiarity with fans.

Lugia is the guardian of the sea, but isn't a water type.

The first legendary Ash sees in Kanto was Ho-oh who was a Johto pokemon.

Contrary to the belief of "PokeMon" being a japanese word, it's not. The word is actually an amalgram of the two English words: "Pocket Monster". The name was changed because people felt the name was too close to an existing property called "Monster in your Pocket"

Due to the ability Dry Skin, Paras and Parasect are also the only Pokémon to have a 5× weakness (to Fire)

All of the eeveelutions end with eon wich was eevee's beta name

Sableye and Spitomb are the only two pokemon with no weaknesses
