I recently discovered the Crunchyroll app for my phone (HTC Incredible with Android 2.2, if it makes a difference), and I love it! It streams really nicely when I start an episode from the beginning, much better than I was initially expecting! However, I've noticed an obvious and consistent bug with it. If I try to navigate to any other point in a video, either with the scroll bar at the bottom of the screen or the forward button, the video will buffer as expected, start to play, and then the screen will go dim for a few seconds before ending the video and going back to the previous episode page. I've tried this with a handful of different videos and it happened with all of them. Basically, I can only use the app if I watch episodes from the beginning, which is now always what I want to do, particularly when I want to skip openings and such. Is this a known issue?

I have an HTC EVO 4G which is supposed to have similar specs and this does not happen for me nor on the other devices we have. So I would say this is not a known issue. Do you have the latest updates for your device? Is the device rooted with a custom rom?

Yup, I have the latest version of the CR app (0.3.4) and no system updates are available either. I tried restarting my phone, but got the same result. Tried reinstalling the app, no dice. No rooting or anything fancy like that. The Incredible does use HTC Sense, but I imagine your Evo does as well. So unless it's some wacky difference between 3G and 4G, no idea what to make of it.

Just thought I'd come back and mention that with the 0.3.6 update, I no longer have this issue! So whatever you did to fix it, tyvm!
