Leon stood outside in the thick fog that covered Sakkaku Island, an axe in his left hand and a stump of a large tree in front of him, on top of it a small log. Leon hoisted the axe up over his head with his one functional arm and swung it down splitting the log in two, he picked up the two pieces and threw them in a growing pile of split logs, obviously meant for fire wood. After a few more logs Leon decided to take a break on a wooden chair he had placed next to the pile of firewood, with a glass of water in hand he leaned back in the chair hearing it creak as he put his full weight on it, he let out a sigh and took a sip of water while looking around the island "Its been a long long time... hasn't it...." Aventh said closing his eyes.

A few yards away sat, most likely, the only building on Sakkaku island, although the island was just jungle and more jungle, the only inhabitants being the animals that lived in these conditions, A few hundred years ago, Leon and a partner of his, Shinra, took up residence on the island, soon after they did the fog that prevented anyone from getting close to the island appeared, and since Leon and Shinra have been living on the island alone.
"chopping firewood again?" Shinra said form behind a relaxed Leon
"I might as well... we have plenty of wood on this island" Leon said as he stood back up "And what are you plans today?" he asked
"Oh you know me... I dont really like the lonely life style we have going on this island, I think ill go into town again today"
"Well be my guest, but while your there, try to pick up any weird rumors or any information about magical artifacts if you can" Leon said as he once again began to chop firewood.
"Will do" Shinra said with a smile and then walked off into the jungle towards the dock and boat Leon had built so many years ago.
Leon let out a sigh as Shinra disappeared into the jungle "It really has been such a long time" he said to himself

Gabriel stood and sighed. His hands were covered in blood, and there were smears of it on his cheeks and forehead where he had brushed his face, but the breathing of the boy at his feet was much easier now, and he was no longer coughing blood with every breath.

He gestured to allow the mother to go to her child now, and stepped back, into the darkness. Another child, a girl this time, brought his a bowl of water and a rag, and he washed his hands gratefully. She took the rag and told him to crouch. When he did, she wiped off the stains on his face, and he stood again, smiling his thanks. He left before they could pay him; this family was living in a two roomed house and it was trying its hardest not to fall down.

After an hour or two of rowing, Shinra spotted a dock, behind the dock the small village that she often went through to get to Kozune, she gave a warm smile to the few people who stood on and around the dock along with a few other small rowboats tied up to he small dock.
"The fog is pretty thick today" One man said looking over at Shinra "You tried to get to he island in these conditions?"
"No, I just came form the next dock over, im heading into Kozune" Shinra said
"Ah, well be careful, the fog today has even covered parts of the forest... and I hear there is a new band of thief's running the road to Kozune from here" the man said, as he finished he turned back tot he other adventures gathered around the dock and continued his conversation with them. Shinra couldn't hear much but from what she gathered they were just trading story's of recent adventures and how other parts of Jahan were doing, but there wasn't anything out of the ordinary so Shinra quickly disregarded the conversation and took the travel pack she had brought with her and set off ont he road heading towards Kozune.

"Are you sure, Vanessa? " Sandra said as they followed the map. "Kevin is not the most reliable of people."
"It didn't sound like he was lying, " Vanessa stopped to read the map again. "Then again he would really enjoy it if he managed to get us lost in this jungle.'
"Ugh!" Sandra was just beginning to start her long rant when silhouttes started to become visible.
"YAY!" Vanessa said, sounding deeply relieved."He was telling the truth."

Sandra let out a slow breath. A slim boy with bright colored hair and goth makeup was leaning against the pillars of the dock, "Hello Vanessa," He looked at her and gave her a slow smile, his eyes flicking over to Sandra, "And you brought a tasty morsel,"
Sandra bristled, "Kevin you are so cras-" she was cut off as Kevin leaned over and gave her a kiss on the lips.
"mmm, yup, tasty..." he said and broke away.
Sandra took a step back, glaring at him, her face red.
Vanessa looked over at the boat where two guys were standing.
"Girls, meet Shawn and Abraham," Kevin said gesturing to the men.
"Pleasure," Shawn said(with a thick irish accent) and Abraham remained silent.

Sandra felt a ripple of fear as she looked at the fog, "So...uh...what's the plan again?"

"There are rumors that there is an island in the middle of the lake with mountains of treasure," Kevin said. "No one can get through them, the fog alters sense of direction,"
"Oh...then how are we supposed to get through?" Sandra asked, clutching her jacket tighter around herself.
Kevin smiled and rubbed her cheek with the back of his hand, "Don't fret your pretty little head over it,"
Sandra glared at him and slapped his hand away.
"After you ladies," Kevin said and Vanessa climbed onto the boat first, followed by Sandra and then Kevin.
It was a tight fit but they managed to squeeze in.
"Sails ahoy!" Shawn said and began to row into the fog.

Leon stood in front of a fire, a large pot on the fire with what looked like some kind of stew cooking it in, a wooden spoon in hand Leon stirred the bowls contents as he whistled a song, the tune carried through out the quiet, foggy island. After a few second he stopped whistling and scooped up some of the stew with the wooden spoon and brought it up to his mouth taking a small taste "Just a bit longer" Leon said putting a lid on the pot. Leon turned around and walked towards the small wooden building that he now called home.

Although the building looked small on the outside, when Leon entered the building it was anything but small, the first story held a small wooden table with to chairs, a fire pit and multiple book shelves, though there were no stairs going up, there were stairs leading down into the ground for what seemed almost endless, each story below the first lined with book shelves upon book shelves that held thousands and thousands of books, this continued downwards for at least 10 or 15 levels, at the "bottom" floor where the book shelves finally stopped sat a massive steel door with multiple seals on it, within this door where multiple rooms and even more stairs leading even further down, all of witch held a mass assortment of magical artifacts and items ranging from magical swords and jewelery all the way to magical tomes that held dark and ancient forbidden magics.
Leon took a seat at the table and yawned "I wonder what the next item ill be collecting will be?" Leon pondered to himself.

The boat made its way quietly through the lake. Abraham stood up and took the oars from Shawn as the fog began to get thicker and the other guy sat down, causing the boat to rock heavily.

Sandra raised up her hand but couldn't see it. Visions of them crashing into boulders or worse sea serpents made her shiver and she wrapped her arms tighter around herself.

To her utmost relief, nothing of that sort happened, they continued without meeting anything. More than a few times, she thought she saw channels leading to land but she wondered if they were more a diversion or an illusionary spell to keep them from reaching the real island.

The water lapped against the boat as Abraham rowed on.
How does he know the way... Sandra wondered as he guided them around a large rock that she hadn't seen.
Around them, the fog slowly began to lessen.

Sandra looked over her shoulder and could see an outline of an island and nervous excitement coursed through her.
"There it is...pretty," Kevin said as they got closer.
Sandra looked back in front and up at Abraham and let out a soft breath. So that's how... She thought when she saw his glowing red eyes, the only thing visible on his half masked face.

He took them closer and then they all jumped out wading the last few feet to the land as Abraham and Shawn hauled the boat onto the bank.

It was an eerily creepy place, there was hardly any sound. Dense trees marked a jungle a few feet away from the bank.
Sandra jumped letting out a small scream as suddenly shrill shrieks resounded, sounding like flesh eating beasts on rampage.
"W-what's that!" Sandra cried as she turned to run back to the boat but Kevin caught her arm, pulling her against him.
"Shh," he murmured, "Probably an alarm,"
"A-alarm....?" Sandra looked at her, her face pale and her heart thudding.
Kevin nodded, looking absentmindedly as he looked in the distance, "From the rumors circulating this place, there are bound to be many traps and spells to keep us away."
"The more the better," Shawn said cheerfully (in his thick irish accent of course XD ) as he placed a hand on his forearm and to Sandra's shock, a spear began to emerge from his skin, he grasped the edge and drew it out, letting out a grunt of pain. Soon the gaping hole in his skin began to heel. "Easy does it..." He growled satisfactorily and swung his spear left and right.

Sandra looked at the bloody spear, feeling her stomach churn.

Vanessa looked fascinated as she looked around. "What a quaint place," she said.

Kevin chuckled and then looked down at Sandra, "Stay by me, pretty." his eyes glittered with an unreadable expression and Sandra wasnt sure which scared her more, the island or Kevin.

"Let's go," Kevin said and they all walked into the jungle.

Leon was in the middle of reading a new book he had recently obtained when he herd his alarm's go off, almost throwing Leon out of his chair from the sound they made. "What the hell" Leon said "Shinra wouldn't have set them off... does that mean there are intruders?" Leon stood up and walked out his small hut, after he stepped a few feet out of the door he held his left hand up to his lips and began to chant, after about a minute of chanting he swung his arm down while saying one final word slightly louder than the others, behind him a massive magic circle appeared under the house and lit up brightly, at first the small hut shimmered for a few seconds and then slowly turned invisible, the magic circle also died out and disappeared. Leon, after inspecting his work, making sure the house was thoroughly hidden, he gave a smile a turned around, his smile quickly turning into a frown "Ahhhh... intruders... such a hassle" he said to himself as he walked off into the jungle.

Abraham led the way; his eyes glowing red in the dark.

Kevin looked relaxed, his arm draped around Sandra's shoulders, Vanessa was humming under her breath as she walked in front of them,

Shawn brought up the rear, his eyes alight with excitement.

Abraham suddenly stopped and raised up his hand, "There," he spoke in a low husky voice.

They all stopped.

"Better take your positions, everyone." Kevin said and Sandra nodded, melting inside a tree.

Vanessa, Shawn, Abraham and Kevin formed a loose semi circle as the person approached.

"Now now, I mean no harm" the man said as he got closer, holding both of his hands up in front of him "I just wondering why you have come to this island"

"Sight seeing," Kevin said with a bland smile, "Who might you be?"

"The... owner of this island I guess you could say" Leon said back with a smile "And I dont think, with this fog around, that you would be here for simple sight seeing, mind telling me what your really here for?"

"It's fake, " Abraham said in his low, husky voice, his red eyes watching the man. "Just a solid hologram"

"I see," Kevin said. "Well then where is the real man hiding?"

Abraham looked around, searching for the man.

drip....drip.....drip.....drip......

water droplets fell from his shoes as Ven leisurely strolled across the lake. Every step he took emitted a small wave across the water surface of the lake. A clank of the chain and sword within the sheath was faintly heard from the mysterious man too as he held an old blade with his left hand. From a distance it's seems as though a ghost is traversing on top of the lake.

"Stupid fog," he suddenly spat out from his mouth as he continued walking across the water. Even for an immortal being, the simple things can still be annoying.

"What's the point of this crap anyways? To keep intruders away?" he asked randomly. It seems as though he was just dragging his body across the surface now.

"Hell! Intruders get across this fog all the time." Van just continued ranting to himself like always as he neared the surface of the island that lie very hidden within the fog. It's as though he was just trying to pass time through the quiet air as he stalked across the lake.

Finally, he reached land as he dragged his feet onto the surface and touched dirt once more. Suddenly he heard an alarm ring across the island. "See, I told you!" he said as if he was talking to someone.

Ven couldn't help let curiosity get the better of him. He just had to see who the people that triggered the alarm were. Hell, what else could he do anyways? The immortal man had already being walking across the land for hundreds of years not really doing anything important except eating, sleeping, breathing, etc.

Ven landed quietly onto a tree branch. However, he did not realized that Sandra had melted into that same tree and most likely had already spotted him. But to his knowledge, he watched from behind the scenes to see the situation unfold.

Sandra was watching from the tree when she suddenly saw a shadow appear right by the tree she was in.
She jumped in surprise, holding in a cry in case the man was alerted. He landed on a tree branch, looking out at the scene.
"I have to warn the others!" she thought frantically. "this could be the enemy"

Before she could move, the "solid hologram' attacked.

As she shouted out to her comrades, the man looked at the tree in surprise but made no move to get involved.

“Hmmmm, im surprised that you could tell that im a fake in this fog and at this distance” the mud doll of Leon said “But you should give up looking for the real me, you wont be finding him he is far too away for you too be able to spot.... even with those eyes”

“Abraham?” Kevin said as if ignoring what the mud doll said

“He is right... my eye's have a very limited range in this fog” Abraham said confirming what the mud doll had told them

“Hmmm, seems like what ever I say your not gonna listen to me” the mud doll sighed “I guess we will have to do this the hard way” As soon as the mud doll had finished its sentence it launched into attack, it charged towards Abraham throwing a punch that he easily dodged under, the arm soaring over his head.

Abraham saw his opening and with a Aura filled punch slammed his open palm into the mud dolls stomach, but instead of the expected reaction of the mud doll either flying back or exploding, Abraham felt his hand sink into the mud doll, Abraham quickly tried to pull his hand out but it was too late, the mud doll arms had already wrapped around him turning into a thick sticky mud that solidified its self into the ground.
“A trap?” Abraham said looking over the now mostly slimy mud doll that held him in place “Were dealing with a skilled mage here!”

Everyone looked around for any sign of were the mage might be hiding, but with no luck they quickly readied for the next attack, hoping it might give them a clue as to where the mage was. The next attack came quickly, a lighting bolt shot out from between he tress slamming into the ground exploding, kicking up dust and rock's.

“Did anyone see the direction that came from?” Shawn shouted

“East... no West!” Sandra shouted back

“Its no use without Abraham's eyes!” Kevin shouted in frustration

Just then dozen of lighting bolts shot out from every direction from the forest slamming intot he ground around the defenseless adventures kicking up even more dust and rocks.

“Does his aim just suck?” Shawn said with closed eyes as he spat out some gras that had gotten into his mouth

“Lets hope that's the reason he isn't hitting us” Kevin said

Dozen of small foot steps could now be herd around the party, all of them seemed to be running towards the small clearing the group had been stopped in. and soon enough the culprits of the foot steps came charging out through the tree lines, dozen of tiny stone golems ran at Shawn and Vanessa

“Shawn! Vanessa!” Sandra shouted “Run!”

“Where! I cant see dammit! All this dust is in my eyes!” Shawn yelled as he started to swing his spear around “Get near me now bastards!”
“There traps!” Abraham shouted as he broke free from the mud doll's grasp that until this point had kept him from talking or moving, he quickly delivered a second blow to the now mostly solid mud doll giving it no time to recover and blasting it to pieces.

He then looked up just in time to see one of the stone golems jumping at him. The rest of the golems had also taken to the air, after a few of them had reached a certain height they all exploded sending rock shards flying into the group, both a blind Shawn and Vanessa taking some sever cuts as the rock shrapnel filled the air. Abraham on the other hand gave the rock golem in front of him no chance to explode slamming his right fist into it turning it into dust, but the other rock golems that had exploded around him still caused minor damage.

As soon as Abraham had taken out the golem in front of him Leon seemed to appear under his right arm almost instantly and quickly threw a punch into Abraham's completely exposed and defenseless right side with his left hand balled into a fist, Abraham braced for as much as he could, but as soon as the hit connected a massive surge of energy seemed to ram through his entire body, it had a somewhat burning and numbing sensation to it, Abraham quickly realized that the mage had just fired off a lighting spell pointblank into his body.

Abraham quickly fell to his knee's all of the strength in his body disappearing as the lighting continued to run through his body, Abraham looked at the mage's feet to see that there was a magic circle right where the mud doll stood while it held Abraham in place.
“Truly an experienced mage” Abraham said before collapsing to the ground motionless.

Everyone looked at the man who now stood in front of them, his face completely hidden by a hood and only his left arm uncovered by his cloak, a few sparks of electricity dancing on the knuckles of its closed fist.

"Did you.. is he?" Vanessa said looking at a motionless Abraham

"I only caused him to black out, he should be fine in a few hours, but for those few hours you wont be able to find your away around on this island, so I think you should leave. and now" Leon said "Also while im on the subject of all of you leaving, I don't think its very nice to spectate, wouldn't you both agree?" Leon said looking at a tree as soon as he did dozens of lighting bolts slammed into it causing it to explode into splinters. forcing both Sandra and Ven to jump into the small clearing.

"Hey! who is he!" Kevin said looking at Ven

"I don't know!" Sandra said "He appeared right before the battle had started!"

"Pah, so you found me huh?" Ven said looking at Leon

"You weren't very well hidden, and you are on my island" Leon said "And might I ask what you are doing here, doesn't seem like you are apart of there little group."

"Don't move," Leon said to Sandra as she was about to jump into another tree, pointing a finger at Abraham, "or ill kill him,"

"Fuckin arsehole!!" Shawn suddenly charged forward. Leon easily dodged as Shawn swung a spear, but he wasn't ready for a sharp blade that suddenly emerged from Shawn's palm, driving straight into his right shoulder.

"Get him Shawn!" Sandra screamed.
In that mean time, Kevin had moved behind Ven , "Don't move, or ill suck your life force" he drawled. 'Who are you?"
