This thread is for anyone who wishes to share a new learning aid that they found! Got one? Post it here!

Here is a link to a site I found that walks you through the process of making it so you can write in kana on a windows operating system. http://newton.uor.edu/Departments&Programs/AsianStudiesDept/Language/japanese_write.htm

Here is a site I found that shows you writing and language. You can use these with the lessons here for a more complete learning experience. http://japanese.about.com/od/writing/u/Writing.htm#s1

Here is a facebook app that you can use to play quiz games for words,Kana and Kanji. >>>
http://kanjibox.net/kb/ you do need a FB account to use this.

This site has all kinds of useful tools and games.

Found this Kana quiz game! Actually kind of fun.

It's a shooter game like centipede where you have to shoot the correct Kana on your hit list.

Thanks for starting this thread ( ^ _^) .

I have been studying Japanese for a little bit more than 2 years now. I'm not fluent in any way but I try to write and read much to learn from my mistakes : P.

Anyhow, here are some tools and sites that I found useful:

1. Denshi Jisho, online lexicon with various functions, such as: sentences, stroke order, links, kanji search etc..
http://www.jisho.org/words/

2. Rikaichan, add-on for Firefox that gives on-screen translations and readings of Kanji and kana. Just hold the mouse over the word and a small cloud-box appears with all the info you need (except romaji reading)
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/rikaichan/

3. Tae Kim's Grammar Guide, good guide with short explanations and a lot of examples. The site has a lot of Kanji but just hold the mouse over them and a pop up cloud will give you reading and meaning.
http://www.guidetojapanese.org/learn/grammar

These are hands down the three most useful (and free) tools in my learning experience.
This is following site is really good but recently it costs money to use it, 1000 - 700 yen ~ 12 - 9 US dollars per month. It's quite reasonable price compared to Rosetta Stoned, IMO.

Youtube
And last but not least I'd like to mention some of the Youtubers that I like.
1. Gimmebrakeman - not so much for the language lessons but he lives in Japan and has a lot of random Japanese related videos. He promotes others and its easy to find other good Jvloggers via him.

2. Japanarchist - Hilarious dewd in Japan.

Hope this could be of interest for some of you out here on C-roll. If you already knew about any of these please let me know what you think about them. And I'm looking forward to see other peoples suggestions too.

Nice! but I'm gonna have to redo your links so people can click on them instead of copy paste method.
