First of all, I don't support yaoi (or yuri, for that matter) at all. However, this seems to be getting some raving reviews on forums elsewhere from other non-yaoi supporters, and I was wondering: how heavy is the yaoi? Is it non-stop thrown up in your face, or is the show more about storyline, animation, and character development? Or is the entire focus the yaoi part? Thanks!!

I remember when I first started Junjou Romantica, like SIH, made by same people and I was like this is yaoi? well, boy/boy? haha didn't know what yaoi was...but I was watching it and it was really good so yea, become addicted...but to answer your question, I've been reading the manga and the manga you will see the sex big time, b/c most yaoi manga contains sex....but in the manga no.

SIH sex is on the light side. Takano will be trying to seduce Ritsu and get him to fall in love with him again.(that will be the main focus of the storyline, there may be more about just love) there will be probaly at least one kissing scene in each episode between the two guys. later on sex scenes, but this being on CR and also like JR(same creators) the sex scenes will be light.

but I would say this anime is about first love for all three couples. I hope this helps some. XD

this anime is about falling in love, like a shoujo story but with boys and it's also funny and refreshing....if you don't mind to see at least one kiss then I think you'll enjoy this anime.

I had hopes for the series until the end of episode 3. Takano is too aggressive. Making Onodera "model" for the manga artist in episode 1 was fine for a gag. The whole "I'll make you say you love me again" plot seemed compelling, and would have been if it had been pursued by Takano demonstrating his leadership and compassion or something like that.

Instead he just seems abusive when he's alone with Onodera. It's like his only goal is to make out.

Onodera needs a new love interest. Or at least, there needs to be a pairing in the series that doesn't involve Takano. Or I guess if Takano can learn to behave himself and try to be charming. If that doesn't happen in the next episode I'll probably drop the series.

When you can't sell someone on the main couple (or not right off the bat) then you need to keep viewers/readers happy with additional couples (or additional recurring characters with important friendships). You use their side-stories to give the main characters time to develop and grow on the audience. These manga artists/authors seem very disconnected from the love plot and geographically seem hard to reach. The guys in the office are goofs. Onodera needs to meet more people who can have some importance in his everyday life.

Episode 4 today didn't accomplish any of that. Most of the episode was showing Onodera's passion for his job, and that other guy seems to be getting jealous and probably is involved with Takano - someone I don't think deserves to be in a relationship. There aren't enough characters to speculate about or cheer for, and sadly I don't like the three main characters we've seen so far. (Well, Onodera's OK, but he needs to stand up to Takano if he's ever cornered again.)

I don't think any of that has to do with yoai, although this is my first foray into the genre.

I don't think Takano did anything in the fourth episode though. He just carried him to bed

But he still hasn't apologized to Onodera or made any indication (either to Onodera or at least the audience) that he'll reform his approach.

Good thoughts.

it seems you don't like Takano^^ you also has to try to understand the characters, not everyone will be the way you want them to be and I think the reason why Onodera doesn't stand up to takano is because he's madly in love with him. You know how some girls play the 'hard-to-get' game? even some boys do it I think Onodera is in denial, he's too proud to admit he's still in love with Takano and even though is HIS fault that they got separated (he misunderstood the situation and disappeared! if I were Takano, I'd look for someone worthy of his love! but he's still in love with Onodera) and you know how sad he gets when Takano is with another person....to tell the truth, Ritsu Onodera annoys me but I LOVE Takano!

I admit that trying to rape him or touching him like that is not a good way to approach or captive someone's heart.

Also, there are 2 more couples. The next one is coming in episode 5 ^^ I hope you like this one, no 'rape' attempts lol

Because it's still emotionally distressing to Onodera.

The new guys in episode 5 are better, though.

It's started to resemble a proper romance! So I'll be sticking with it.

Do continue to watch. I'm reading for the manga (or waiting for the new chapter) and so far I really love it, wait for the other couples to be introduced, it's worth the wait.

Yaoi isn't a major thing to me, but I really do like it. The anime is quite light compared to the manga, so just expect some touching and kissing.

In the manga there is more heavy yaoi stuff but in the anime it's pretty light and refreshing.(yes im a big yaoi supporter) There's more kissing in it but mostly one in every episode. i actually find Junjou Romantica to be better than SIH but that's just my opinion. so if you ever wonder what the big deal with yaoi is watch this show and junjou Romantica!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What do you mean you don't support it? like do you mean you just don't like it or you do not approve of homosexual couples? =/
Either way, all because you aren't into something doesn't mean you can't try it out! I for example am not into heterosexual romance anime's, but it doesn't mean I won't give one a try.
