We make the regions of Jahan even more unique by clearly defining their cultures and people, at least in the case of the major cities.

Azuriya - Orient
Furen - Brazilian/African
Sadoyus - Middle Eastern
Umoba - Europe

Using this would be optional but I think it will help to enhance the writing if used.

I love it!

i think it would give the regions their own cultures and more expression to our stories when we describe the differences in lifestyles and customs etc.

I honestly believe we are making CAS too detailed. the map was basically to help people understand where other writers were if two writers were in the same forum. but now we are making whole regions into uniformed cultures?
and although this culture deal is optional... if its so optional I think we should just leave it be... its not exactly something we need to put into CAS. its just making the group a bit over complicated.

(I myself do not have a problem with the complexity, since I can also be pretty complex in my characters sometimes)

from my interpretation, i dont think it needs to be a forced lifestyle, there can be different cultures existing in one region, i think we are just talking about the predominant one.

I like the idea of it being hte "PREDOMINANT" one. basically meaning that at one point in time the regions were completely cut off from each other (Mostly at least) and over time built there own culture and life style.

Yeah, look at England and Europe. How many different cultures exist there?

I think it's a little bit too complicated if we have the cultures so exact. Some of us might be able to remember them, but some will always have to go back to check the map and the culture they are in, which can get extremely annoying. We can have them as a rough guide, but let's not make it mandatory.

For all of you veteran writers who remember my character Dark Ken, quick survey. Should I bring him back? I know Sara probably wants him back, but I'm debating whether to recreate him or not

I mean the land "CUltures" are not mandatory. anyways as for Dark Ken... to be honest I never really got to write with him at all and didint even get to read much of him. I think I would enjoy to see his return.
