Junk food, though you used the wrong terms for your topic Adam. You should have said "non-meal substitutes" not "sorry excuse". When you said that, I immediately thought of school food

Anything but junk food. A bottled of water would do too.

Day old, stale bread, the last of the shredded cheese, expired, some butter that will expire in an hour, garlic powder (nothing's wrong with it), some Italian seasoning (nothing's wrong with it), all wrapped up in 2 pieces of bacon I was able to salvage, I had no idea how long it was in there, probably better off not knowing.

I'm surprised I didn't get sick.

Ramen noodle- Lemon Spicy Shrimp Flavor ones are the best IMO
but are a sorry excuse for a meal
guess Pokey(I get the strawberry flavored ones) are also a sorry excuse for a meal if you can consider them a meal

Edit:
"Air" is a sorry excuse for a meal too

What I eat 7 days a week almost three meals a day, is chocolate flavored meal-replacement shake with flax and natural peanut butter. It will make packet ramen with boiled or nest styled egg seem like restaurant quality dining.

Usually, I get some bread and nutella and that's a quick meal :p
But if there's no actual meals, i'll go to string cheese, tortilla chips and salsa con queso, or toast w/ butter and brown sugar :p

Whatever is in the house really. I once had cold pasta with balsamic vinegar. Though i usually buy snack food in huge quantities that take forever to finish and leave them on my desk such as m&ms,rice crispies (cereal), chips, girl scout cookies, poptarts, bite sized chocolate.... etc. Real food wise i would heat up leftovers in the fridge or make ramen.
