Please lock if a duplicate.

SO i hope you all heard the news, that Rain took the number one spot or so in the top 100 most influencial people in the world. So i just got the TIMES magazine and saw his article and saw that about three or four sentences were written about him. and a very bad picture -in my opinion- of him. Now wouldn't you think that if obama or some other american pop star would have won that place they would have written an entire page on them. Why do you think that they only wrote so little of him, and if you do know of people of who should be up in the top 100.
Because i honestly think other people besides "famous" people should be up in that spot.

I personally think that they didnt write a lot was because of him not being american, and that they dont know much about him

Garbage.

They will print anything to gain exposure. Truly influential people are those who's actions stand the test of time, not pretenders jerking off thinking they are changing something.

Im not sure about Rain, actually, haven't heard of him/her.lol.
TBH, Times mag. has been really shallow lately, I mean, some celebrities shouldn't be included just because they are popular for some
music/or tv show. That kind of achievement should be based at least through 5 years of their existence- if they really are that influential.
Not some lame phase where you could just put their names and print it.

anyhow. for me, it's Hilary Clinton. She's a humanitarian, ambitious,strong-willed and a feminist.
& she's really influential in the politics area or as a whole for that matter.

Had to wiki him to find out who he is--

with that as my one source this is what I found out about him in terms of influence:

Rain was involved with MTV EXIT, a campaign against human trafficking in Asia.[31] He presented Traffic: An MTV EXIT Special, a documentary[32] which gives insight into the realities of trafficking, addresses the part everyone can play in the issue, and gives information on how people can protect themselves as well as what people can do to help end exploitation and trafficking.

This doesn't seem like a lot for the most influential person in the world--

It looks like the TIME 100 is more like a popularity contest than an actual inventory of the 100 most influential people in the world--
maybe someone hacked the polls...

EDIT:

I think they need to f'ing delete choices similar to the above from the list and move up people like Mahinda Rajapaksa (a negative impact...but f'ing huge implications for his country), Julian Assange, and Ron Paul--

I think Justin Bieber should be up there.

He influences people by showing them what not to be.

i agree with you. i was looking through a lot of the top 100 people and it seemed mainly they were doctors, and government people.. i was actually kind of confused that Rain got number one, i had to recheck that and yes he was in that spot. though i agree with a lot of your opinion, as of justin bieber, id prefer kids/adults who have done something that are not known in the world. They should be the ones that should get noticed.

Something smells fishy here, and I don't like it...

well, i assume because of the part where I didn't totally highlighted her whole name? lol, let's try that again.--> HILARY CLINTON there.

and fyi. she's a really good example, and her kinds are rare.

this is like the whole thing all over again of obama vs hilary. =/ perhaps hilary should have gotten top spot. would of been better if she could run for president again. we need a strong a woman.

WOAH WOAH WOAH WHAT? Bi Rain (Bi does not mean he is bisexual but rather it is his name =_=) got number ONE? okay, I know one year he was somewhere in the top 100 but seriously number ONE is not legit. And I am a rain fan =________= I love rainism and love song and I absolutely ADORE MBLAQ but seriously number one? he realy doesn't deserve that spot, this is biased cuz seriously I heard that he was 'missing' for a while recently and it turned out he was gambling in LA in a casino, I'm not sure of the validity of that but Rain is awesome, honestly rain is most definitely amazing but he IS NOT by any means the most influential person in the world.

=________= that is kind of ..... annoying ? idk. they need to seriosuly edit that list ......

yes, i am shocked as well. =/ even if it it is top spot he still got into the 100 most infuencial people. O_O i still dont know how it happened. but im still at shock, because all other top 100 were people in the government/doctors/artists/etc.

I think she's better being the secretary of state. and being the president is a pressure, plus you will be blame for everything. look at Bush. now,he's living in the suburbs probably eating mcdo takeouts everyday while watching reality shows. lol.
But I like the way you think
