Plot Summary:
A school girl leads a baseball club using lessons from a book called Drucker's Management.
Minami Kawashima becomes the new manager of Tokyo's Hodokubo High School baseball team to help her best friend, Yūki Miyata. Yūki is the current manager, but due to her weak health, she ends up in a hospital. While searching for a book to assist her, Kawashima accidentally buys "Management: Tasks, Responsibilities, Practices". Written by Peter Drucker, one of the most important authors on the subject of business management, the book unorthodoxly guides Minami on how to administer the team.

The first episode I found to be one of the better newer slice of life type sports anime ext.

So I will my self keep an Eye out for this one.

what did the rest of you kids think of the show?

As someone unfamiliar with baseball since its not a national sport in england, i've been interested in baseball in anime after seeing a couple of one off episodes in other shows. I was planning on watching Major some time but then this came around and i was interested.

As for my opinions.. hmm.. I think that the first episode like many before it introduced the plot, and the dynamic very well. From what i can tell it looked nice, seemed well animated and i enjoyed the character interactions. It wasn't amazingly exciting but then again this is a pseudo-slice of life anime not an edge-of-your-seat shounen show. The fact that the main point is a business management guide isn't exactly going to be captivating for those who want something crazy and over the top exciting but i enjoyed it nonetheless.

Voice acting was fairly good, Yoko Hikasa might finally play a character i might like (no god-awful tsundere's *cough* houki *cough*) and i'm genuinely interested in why she hates baseball so much considering she seemed so good at it when she was young.

As a whole i'm very interested, i know alot of people are going to be bored with it, but i'm going to keep watching

- if i had a complaint at all, it'd be that the background music was a bit overpowering in a few of the scenes, like it was so loud that it kinda drowned out the speech, other than that. nothing makes me unhappy about it.

Just finished Ep3 this morning. This series is really picking up now.
The first 2 eps probably will bore some people though. But overall, i'm very satisfied. They kept this close to the novel and is setting up a solid plot.

It definitely have the potential to be one of the best this season.

I finished the novel a few weeks ago, the story is definitely worth it. (the book arrived like 1 month ahead of schedule, I used the cheapest shipping too:) )

Just watched ep4, I think we're climbing out nicely from the slow paced first 2 episodes.
