Pretty much Sakura and Yuki. Evertime I hear a character in a new series called Sakura, I think, 'really? You couldn't have added a "-ko" at the end of that (Sakurako)?'.

The most common anime character names are based on how the popular the name was. Here's my list
MALE Daichi, Daisuke, Jun, Kaito, Kazuki, Kazuya, Kenta, Naoki, Naoto, Ren, Riku, Ryuu, Shou (some are spelled as Show,) Takumi, Takuya, Tatsuya, Tsubasa, Yuu, FEMALES Ai, Akane, Ami, Aoi, Asuka, Aya, Ayaka, Ayano, Chihiro, Haruka, Hina, Kana, Kotone, Mai, Manami, Mayu, Miho, Miki, Misaki, Miu, Miyu, Mizuki, Momoko, Nana, Nanako, Nanami, Natsuki, Natsumi, Reina, Riko, Rin, Rina, Saki, Sakura(most generic female name,) Shiori, Yui, Yuuka, In the language of flower, Sakura means transience of life. That's kinda ironic for Sakura Haruno in Naruto |

Sakura obviously. There's something romantic about naming a girl after a flower. Unless that girl happens to be a useless ninja from a certain anime.
Yuki - Naming a girl 'snow' is quite a romantic gesture as well. though I believe that it's just commonly used in anime to show a character's traits. (E.g Yuki from Haruhi comes off as cold and a dandere-ish) Sato - Bloody plain name, useful for slapping onto a harem lead. |

I can think of at least three characters who go by Zero.
And though there are many named Sakura, there is one who stands supreme... Cardcaptor Sakura! |

Not common in a traditional sense but I found it funny the other day when I watched 2 different shows in a row that had a character named "Vanilla".
