Never forgo in quality
Posted 4/27/11 , edited 4/27/11
I'm someone who'll wait for something valuable or save up just that much longer to get that uber object.

Tell us are you someone who isn't finicky and stubborn or do you go to the ends of the earth to get the best of the best?

What quality things have you long waited for and finally gotten?

I'm like this with movies. I always wait for a Blu-ray to come out in contrast to my brother who'll pick inferior stuff and watch it. I'm of the ideology that you can watch plenty of other Blu-ray until a Blu-ray of that particular item comes out. It's so ugly watching on a big screen such horrid images, god have mercy on his soul.

Really, say you were ready to buy a big screen T.V. and then you found out that there was a T.V that was even better suited for you and had a much longer warranty. Catch is you'd have to wait a week or fortnight until you can make the purchase final.

Would you get that first T.V you planned out or wait for that better T.V? I'm of the later. It will stay with me for a while why not wait a bit to get better quality.

I think it's a wiser choice. Good things come to those who wait when required. By the way that T.V story was the case with my current one. It has to be in the living room for a while and on that thought I convinced everyone to wait just a bit longer to get the nicer item.

I'm the same way.

Thing is, society will alway make better things as time goes on. This computer i'm typing on. (its almost two years old) in two more years the system will become obsolete but i will still keep using it until it dies on me. Its just my philosophy not to waste time or money on new technology if the technology or any other object I'm using is still usable.

Oh and in reference to the tv example. A TV isn't a something thats very necessary. Its just to watch TV shows and play games. The matter of quality doesn't matter much to me or my parents. I had a family TV for 10 years before it died and that TV was really beat up but at least it still worked.

Precisely, likewise.

I like to have quality products as well, the older things can be hand me downs to younger folks. We don't throw old things away, we just let people who don't have them at all have them.

2 Years for a PC isn't old at all.

The PS3 came out in 2006, almost five years ago, and its a 8 Core 3.2GHz machine, stronger device then EVERYONE's PC at crunchyroll. That's right, all of them, since I doubt anybody has a 12 Core Mac Pro.

yeah, I'm pretty much like that. even if it costs a lot, I'm willing to save up for it instead of buying a cheaper one with poor quality.

I'm like this too. I hate low quality anything, I usually want the best one. Money is no big deal for me; I don't mind spending it.
It's like apple, they update their stuff every year, and I always find myself buying the same stuff every year. It's worth it though lol.
I'm like this with music too, it has to be good quality! I usually go for 320 kbps.

I absolutely agree with that philosophy I'm exactly the same. If it isn't broken you don't need to fix it or replace it. Though my initial purchase of that item is always the best on the market. Whether new ones come out or not I'm sticking with mine until it dies.

I save up for books, especially Japanese language books. And now I think I'm going to save up for a cosplay outfit with a wig, that I really want to do. I think it'd be sexy. So it's nice, and expensive to me, and superfluous, but it'll hopefully be worth it.
