idk. Worse in some ways and better in others. I mean, humans as a species need religion, it gives them hope, for some a reason to keep living, it helps them explain the unexplainable, and allows them to not b so afraid of death. But for other humans *like me* it would make things less complicated and would give us some relief -1 less pain in the butt to worry about. Personally, I would love a world w/o religion, but that's just my selfishness talking....

Edit: Yay!! Allied Atheists! Godless ppl of the world unite!!

Religion breeds hate though, suicide bombings and stereotyping. I understand people need something to believe in but in this day and age?

This could make you cringe or burst out in laughter:

There wouldn't be a world if there's no religion. Just in case you missed my point. Almost all of advance and cultural heritage were derived from religious belief.

tried to follow ur link but ---404 web page not found. neway--just looking at my family--I think *even if it is in this day and age* that they do need their religion at the very least I think they draw strength from it.

As for what religion breeds--ur right, and that's why I think it's stupid and have bcome a godless heathen. I mean, truly, I hate religion, it makes my life more complicated, and it puts distance between my family and I. It puts a damper on conversation when the ppl ur trying to talk to think ur eternally damned and are going straight to hell.

But b/c it's so important to them, I wouldn't make fun of someone else or attack someone for what they believe in. We all have different values and look at things individually. I'm not saying I think religion makes the world better, but it does add to it, and it's part of what the world is.

I would like a world without extremists, that way my uncle wouldent be fighting in the war for the 4th time, but since he's a Christian like me, i'll know if he gets blown up (he's disarms bombs for the marines) he will goto heaven.

I don't think we can't have religion because people who practise religion usually practise because they fear going into notingness after death... Now religion may be the death of us all to some - but unfortunately it's used more as a scape goat or an excuse to be violent... WWII jeish people are the source of our poverty - which isn't exactly true - but... the prettiest things don't usually exsist or won't as long as humans do...

The issue with science I find would be - the mental capacity and the ability to retain all the explanations of what religion would normally do. With all the theory it can't be put into lamen terms which anyone can understand... By all means your scientific is very ideal, but not very possible... Not yet at least...

Religion is your believes. It builds your believes and ethics
We believe in judgment day, heaven and hell
If u don’t believe in those things, then what stops u from killing, stealing,…etc ??

I know some wars started because of Religion, but Religion saved huminity from disasters much bigger than wars.

but there is no religion in the world that encourage violence.
People tend to do horrible in the name of the religion when religion has nothing to do with them.

the problem is not with religion but with people who don't understand it accurately

I think a lot of entertainment would suffer with no religions in the world but then again, it's impossible for a civilization to have no religion unless they have no individual interests. Religion is what keeps the world spinning and is the cause of its stop.
