I was really disappointed to see that not only where the vulgarities not translated.. but bleeped out.

Is this censorship imposed by crunchyroll? I hope not else where does it stop.. will they start removing the blood and violence also?

I don't believe CR is the ones who translate and subtitle whatever it is you're watching.

this is how it works cr pays x amount for a license stream from broadcast station in japan, they send over a raw to cr. Cr then pays some to encode/sub and upload the video on the site that's it. Cr does not censor nor does cut out anything that is not from the broadcast in japan lol. Dead man wonder land is on here but well as I just stated they get it straight from a broadcast studio in japan. there is nothing cr can do about about this, if you don't believe download a fan-sub for the show and yes I am saying downloading a fan-sub. also this link below is not for you, it's for the op "original poster"

I believe Japan itself censors it for their own TV broadcasts. Usually one doesn't run into a full uncensored version until the DVD/Blu-Ray release.

You are referring to the scene where the father of the girl drops his cell phone and the "leaked" video is broadcast on a news show?

I found it appropriate to be censored, as it gave me the impression that it was being broadcast to the public. If you turned on any news show, even if the video was not originally censored, it would be for daytime television. (look at the Australian bully videos, for example, they censor when the little kid uses profanity.)

I thought it did just the same job, if not better to develop the story, personally. It gave you more of an impression that that was absolutely not the same person in the video as the one whom was introduced. Now, if it was in a character's personality to curse (see Hidan from Naruto) then I would agree the censorship was inappropriate.

Yea, we didn't censor anything. I watched the episode and didn't even stop to think it was censored but apparently the Japanese broadcast had some shadow censorship.

Not sure if the part you are talking about was censored or shown as intended.

No, at least 3 swear words have been "bleeped" and translated as "******" in the subs. I'm not talking about incidental censorship.
