turning 18

You're only as old as how you feel I didn't feel any different tbh. I'm going on 22 now and I still enjoy life My parents haven't ever really cared about what I do.. my existence is pushed aside by my Sister so the whole 'rebelling against parents wishes' thing never really happened with me. It's a milestone, yes, but how you will feel is pretty much the same as how you felt the previous day.

It wasn't a big deal to me either. Age is just a number anyway.

I'm either excited or somewhat happy depending.

I still remeber my 18th birthday since I was still in school and I was graduating a couple weeks later everyone in my math class threw a birthday party for me although it was a secret one since we weren't allowed to bring in food or have parties from what I remeber so it was all hush hush. My friend Mal made me a cake that had a decoration of sixlets (the generic brand of MMs) that said "The Big O 18" since that was my nickname in my senior year that everyone came up with in my Drivers Ed. class. xD So yeah my 18th birthday was very very fun. After that my birthdays kinda went downhill since I didn't have any of my friends to hang out or celebrate it with me since I graduated and they all moved on to collage.

For me it didn't really mean munch when i turned 18. for the law it only meant i was half a adult at 18. strange is i could buy smokes but not beer. both kill organs when used too much. (i know that statement is argumentative. one gets you drunk where the other doesn't do much in way of effecting someone within a time limit. non the less its funny). also at most over here anyways car insurances is crap till after age 25. so even at turning 21 life isn't that fair when you got a clean record till 25.(but thats just based on where i live which is in the US State of Indiana) lol

Today when i look back i kinda miss being under 18.
I mostly miss being under 10. When most whatever i did was considered sweet and i could not be faulted even if what i did was bad.
But i think thats because how i looked. at lest according to those that seen pictures of me then, and said if at that time i wore a girls outfit it, i look like a girl and no one have a clue that i was a boy. (that i don't know. i don't think so. haha) i don't think i am cute. but guess i was back then. lol

Meh, 18 was just another birthday lol.

Make sure you go somewhere good to get your nose pierced, btw. I got mine done last summer, and the guy put in really small jewelry that started to sink into my nose as it healed, and when I called and asked about it, he said not to worry about it, but it kept getting worse. So I ended up taking the damn thing out and repiercing it myself with bigger jewelry

It wasn't special for me. It was like any other day, but I was happy to turn 18 then.

18 for me meant going off to college, living on "my own" and starting to look for a job.

21 was nice since the other day I got my first bottle of liquor that I could actually go into the store and buy myself, legally, as opposed to having other people buy my alcohol for me.

only bad thing about being under 18 is not being able to go to underage events and not being able drink
