How come so many Europeans or other people are saying we are stupid for celebrating Osama's death? We have every right to celebrate after 9/11. They also fail to realize that he's probably killed people from their countries too, seeing as he was behind so many terrorist plots and activities. The way I see it is that the entire world should be overjoyed that he's dead, so why do they criticize us. Maybe they are just jealous that this is something that can be added to the list of why America is the best.

It has become fashionable to shit on the US, but ya know what? We'll just have to shit on people in return.

I agree. You think they would be grateful for everything America has done for them. If they want to shit on us we will just have to keep showing our superiority like we have been since 1776.

So you approve of celebrating people's deaths? Damn, what has happened to humanity?

You do realize America was also built on terrorism, right? Foreigners are annoyed this celebration because it's just nationalism which just pisses people off.

Agreed celebrating an execution isn't celebratory business, that goes for whoever's head it is on the guillotine.

We killed a man whoo yeah! See how it sounds?

No matter how terrible someone is their demise may offer security but loosing a person should remain a solemn thing.

Pretty much what AsuraCryin said. It's pretty retarded for anyone, regardless of nationality to celebrate that you killed anyone, but this is how I feel.

When did we care about what other countries think of us?

America was religiously oppressed. So we used forms of terrorism to separate ourselves from England.

Osama's followers don't give a shit WHO YOU ARE.

They killed ANYONE who wasnt musilum.
Be You Catholic, Christian, Jewish, Buddhist, whatever.
He and all his followers are scumbags.
He deserved his death 1000x over.
All my friends in Thailand are celebrating too.

The same goes for America in the past. If you were against them, you were tar-and-feathered. They hung British soldiers who did nothing. America was not religiously oppressed, they did not like the British rule, unfair taxation, stuff like that.

The U.S. occupied Saudia Arabia, and the people did not welcome them. They only want their land back. Now, I don't recall much about Al-Queda but I heard they were formed to get the U.S. out of Suadia Arabia.

Think about it, this is a similar situation to what the rebels in the late 1700s were doing, right?

So, judging from your comment, Americans (in the 1700s) are scumbags and deserve to die.

Maybe you guys dont understand because you weren't impacted directly. The way I see it is that if someone killed your family wouldn't you be happy when they died. Sure it doesn't bring back the dead but it makes you feel more at ease than knowing a killer is walking around after what they have done. So say what you want but I will keep being the proud Patriotic American that I am. I will cheer every time a terrorist is killed and freedom is protected. And yes i do approve of celebrating peoples deaths if they deserve to die.

Red, White and Blue no other will do

Look OP, this is the internet- and no, this is not a "being online justifies being an asshole" rant. There are billions of people around the world, believe it or not, talking and sharing ideas here. The Europeans may not have the same views of the Middle East in general, but that's a cultural thing, and you'll have to accept it. Do not blame them for their points of views, because they have every right to have their own opinions. That doesn't make them better, that doesn't make us better. Who gives a shit what they think of us? Just never you mind.

And to Europeans- Bin Laden was like, Hitler for us. That's what the media made him out to be, so to us, tell us not to celebrate his death is pretty much like us telling you not to celebrate Hitler's death. This too is a cultural thing, and just never you mind.

oh lawdy, I think I know where this thread is going!

Your ignorance can be somewhat overpowering...
I won't say america is the best, but that is because every culture is different and unique.

To say america is far from the best, why? I'm going to assume it's because you buy into propaganda that the world is ending and america is going to slide into the ocean of poverty.

Do you now know that half of the modern countries in the world are in debt, including China!
Shitaki is going to hit the fan, there is no doubt about that in my mind, but all of our countries are intertwined.

America is awesome, I'm tired of people not being thankfull for the things we have that our country has given us.

As to the OP remarks,
I found it kind of weird that we are celebrating someone's death as well. It just doesn't feel right, but when I really think about it, I'm not really celebrating revenge, but the fact that this was a huge blow to Al Qaeda.

Slowly, but surely an organization that spread violence and oppression is falling apart.

I don't remember anything about 1700s american soldiers rounding up and killing groups priests (or any other peaceful men of religion).
I don't remember 1700s american soldiers slaughtering every innocent british citizen they could get their hands on.
I also don't remember 1700s american soldiers stoning their own people to death.
Osamas followers don't give a shit about their people.
Anyone who has done ANYTHING western is executed by them.
