2900 BC Sumerian
2700 BC Egyptian
2400 BC Akkadian
2400 BC Eblaite
2250 BC Elamite
2000 BC Hurrian
1800 BC Luwian
1800 BC Minoan
1650 BC Hittite
1500 BC Canaanite
1500 BC Vedic Sanskrit
1425 - 1375 BC Greek
1400 BC Hattic
1300 BC Ugaritic
1200 BC Old Chinese

They are the list of the first written accounts of languages.

Language was first thought to have appeared around 100,000 years go, but as far as evidence for languages goes, there are several undecifiered scrolls/text etc which predated all the above, such as the Jiahu symbols which dated to around 6600 BC from a neolithic Peiligang culture. There is also some evidence to suggest that there are ancient building dating back to the time of the ice age 10,000 years ago (as the ice caps melted the sea level rose and buried the buildings under water) off the coast of India. In order to construct a building/town would have required some form of spoken language for it to be achieved, such as stone henge (5000 years old) would have required.

Neanderthal or "Caveman" are now thought to have been a completely seperate species from homo sapians (modern man) and that both species existed at the same time during ancient times. Some interbreeding is thought to have occured between the 2 species, 80,000 to 50,000, years ago and it is estimated that 1-4% of eurasian genome is comprised of Neanderthal DNA.

I always thought it was Egyptian, but it doesn't exist anymore, so Arabic, Chinese, and Hebrew.
