The "Google it" term
Posted 5/6/11
I've used it a couple times, never used it as a straight answer though. I usually explain something and they will usually still be confused or not understand how it's possible so I say "google it". Learned it from Roger on American Dad!. If I don't know then I just say I don't know.

I would see it as interchangeable with "I don't know."

If I know I will tell someone what they are asking but if I am unsure I may suggest they Google it to be sure. Its also a useful phrase when you have answered and the person who asked does not believe your answer sort of along the lines of okay fine, if you don't believe me then just Google it. Also it can be useful for proof, if I say something and I know its hard to believe I may end my sentence with Google it.

I say "google it" all the time because the questions I get asked are sort of annoying.

If I'm about to ask a question to someone, I always use Google first.

I only use it when it is a fairly easy answer to find out of. If it's a little more complicated I'll try explaining. It's kind of lazy not trying to find out the answers on your own before asking, I as others have already stated - try to find something out by googling it, and if I'm still clueless I'll ask for help.

Stupid questions get stupid answers, hence the phrase, "Google it." I've never answered an intelligible question with "Google it." Not to mention, saying "Bing it." or "Yahoo it." doesn't quite feel right.

Google it, my opinion on this.

I am so sick and tired of hearing my friend say it. If you want to tell me something, tell me, don't be lazy but bring it up at the same time.
