ive been watching random animes of all kinds this week and to my dismay EVER SINGLE ONE had a VERY unpleasant or unhappy end... 7 full animes watch this week 0 had happy endings...

and they seem to be suckering me in too... great happy openings they start out funny.. draw you in... then out of no where one of the main characters dies the others are sad then more ppl die or are hurt or lose thier memories

Happy, funny, maybe some action, or a bit ecchi.... that's what im looking for

suggestions? keep the details to minimum i want to be supperized

That happens to me all the time. I can forgive a few sad episodes, as long as the ending is obviously positive, but some series just leave too much up in the air to be sure if it all turned out ok or just have a serious downer ending. I can't think of too many without some drama and tense episodes, but these are all shows with good endings (imo anyhow).

Toradora is pretty good, stick with it, it only seems like it's going to be a sad ending. Very funny, a little ecchi thanks to one supporting character. (25 episodes)

IS: Inifnite Stratos is decent, if you're ok with harem comedy. Plenty of action, since it's also a mecha-type series. (12)

Amigami SS, because of the way it's done, actually has 6 happy endings, one for each girl's arc, several of which are either funny or cute. There are a couple with dramatic "sad" moments, but since each girl only gets 4 episodes, they're not drawn out anguish or anything. (24+ 1 special, 1 oav.. so far)

Kanokon, very, very ecchi, but I found it hysterical and kinda cute. (12)

Working!! Random, cute, funny, slightly weird. (13+ second season coming, probably this fall)

I also notice after thinking about it, I ended up throwing a bunch of romantic comedies out as recommendations.. So I'll add:
Seitokai Yakuindomo (13)
Ika Musume (12)
Saki (25)
Level E (13) although, Level E is really weird, and has a couple of random "man, that's really sad" episodes with characters that are only in an episode or two.

Have you tried Hayate no Gotoku? Both series are on Crunchyroll and the series is a comedy.

Or perhaps Skip Beat! I have never laughed so hard when watching the series (the downside is the series just stops, but I still think it's worth watching).

I don't know what your tastes are, but if you don't mind slice-of-life shows, you might want to try Aria: The Animation, Aria: The Natural, Aria: The Origination and Aria: The OVA~Arietta~. In the Aria series, the episodes are very happy and uplifting. I think the director or somebody in the staff referred to the series as a "healing Anime" because the show makes the viewer feel good. Nothing bad happens in the show, so some people will probably find it extremely boring.

Another slice-of-life show is Azumanga Daioh. It's a comedy that takes place at school.

If you don't mind watching shows with no real plot to speak of, you might want to try the Galaxy Angel series.

Oh My Goddess/Ah My Goddess is a pretty happy show.

The Slayers series is a comedy. There are 5 seasons: the original series, NEXT, Try (least favorite), Revolution and Evolution-R, plus a bunch of movies and OVAs.

I probably should give a brief description of each show, but it's 1:30 in the morning my time and I'm getting sleepy. I tried to list shows that are easy to find and I'm sure I'm forgetting stuff. More information on the series I mentioned can be found easily on Anime News Network's encyclopedia: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php

And that's just awful luck to watch so many depressing shows back-to-back! I hope you're able to find something you like.

Here's the appropriate thread for recommendations.

I suggest that you should stick to gag anime if you're tired of those 'unhappy' endings.
