Well, it's probably a question that you've heard before. The Bible says that Jesus, with the power of God, has helped a lot of people. And people are still miraculously cured from uncurable diseases. But it doesn't matter how much you pray for someone who lost his leg. It won't grow back.

I'd like to hear your views on this. Why won't God heal amputees?

Well various Christian scholars have come up with separate reasons for this.

One is to say that we live in a fallen world. Because of the choice of men there are certain burdens that we must carry, this one is included.

Another says that God does heal amputees but he does so in places and ways that nobody will really know about it. God wants us to believe without seeing actual proof. A arm sprouting back would be pretty good proof. Yet, God is omnipotent, so for all we know he’s re-written time for us to answer prayers we don’t even know we made.

I mean, if there is an omnopotent God, then how hard would it be for him to heal somebody and not let us know? He's all powerful!

Some say there’s a reason for them to be the way they are.

Some say it’s a test.

It really depends on who you ask and what they believe. An atheist would say ‘Because he doesn’t exist.”

In the Bible says that God will grant your prayers if you really believe in him and stuff.

But no matter how many people pray for an amputee, no matter how sincere they were, no matter how pure their faith is.. Limbs won't grow back.

Are amputees worth less than people with cancer? Because people say that God does, in fact, heal cancer at times. God has never healed an amputee. It's not like people who pray for someone with cancer pray better or more sincere. It's not like their faith is stronger.

The bible says that God can say no, and that he has left us to certain burdens. Women, for example, can pray all they want but child-birth will hurt.

^For the childbirth one, there ARE cases whereby God made the childbirth process relatively painless, but it's not a surefire way - pray to God and it's painless? No. God comforts and make the journey more fruitful and less painful, but Man will still have to suffer to some extent in our body and life because of our sinful nature, our bodies are made out of dust (which means physical sense), and not flawless one that will be given on the second coming of Christ. In that body, there will be no pain or flaws, but because we are sinners, forgiven and redeemed, the best is yet to come.

That is why it does not mean that once you're born again with a new spirit, you will have a smooth sailing life. That you don't have to work and money magically appears or just be a human beanbag and God works everything for you in the natural world, in the sense that the next day a maid magically appears at your house to provide you everything free of charge. We seek God, not his gifts. His gifts are because of his mercy and favour on us. There is nothing we can do to earn his favour or blessings - it's mercy, undeserved, unearned, unmerited. All we do is to seek Him.

But with a born again spirit, you know that the Lord is with you, and he guides us through, delivers us out of, and bring us forth from the trials. His incredible favour rests on us, gives us the confidence to walk through the fire unscorched. That He'll prove to be who He says to be. He's I AM (YHWH) .

Amputation is a last resort of the medical science to save the life of a person at the brink of death. A limb or a foot affected by gangrene may cause the death of a person; but because of amputation, people are saved from death. This is inconformity with the Biblical and scientific knowledge written in the book of Matthew 5.

(Matthew 5:29-30) “And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.”

Therefore, it is very clear that the Bible was not written by primitive people as these ‘imaginary idiots’ claim; And its content did not come from a primitive mind, but from a scientific and sensible mind that knows that amputation may heal the entire being of a person.

The fact that not all people being treated scientifically are healed means that healing comes not solely from the knowledge in science, otherwise, in every case, and in every scientific procedure, everybody with the same illness should be healed. The truth is, it is the Christian God that heals!

(Deuteronomy 32:39) “See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.”

This pronouncement of God Almighty stands irrefutably true up to these days. Nobody can escape the hands of God. Even the most knowledgeable of doctors and surgeon do die: Proving that it is God that ordains the death of anyone person. As it is appointed unto man once to die, afterwards the judgment (Hebrews 9:27).

Who says that the answer to the idiotic question posted by these imaginary fools is that ‘God is imaginary’? They claim that the sensible answer to their nonsensical question is only one: According to them, God is imaginary. Now, it is my turn to ask a sensible question. If they say that God won’t heal amputees because He is imaginary, who then healed them of their sickness after the amputation has been done? If it is human science (as they believe) that is instrumental in the healing of diseases and sicknesses, why can’t science heal the very same illness whereof a person was healed, when it affected another person who died? Did not science hear their prayers? Is science imaginary? Answer these, oh, fools. And I hope you will see what you have not seen!

God Bless,

^ So who saved your fathers live? God or the doctors that rescued him?

I'm sorry, but God didn't invent liver transplants. It's unnatural. It's not a miracle, God should not be thanked. It would have been a miracle if a healthy liver would have just.. started growing back. But that didn't happen.
This might be taken really personal, well, sorry for it then. Don't mean it that way.

It's just that... people who can't walk because of a disease in their legs, are being cured by God. But people who can't walk because they have no legs are not being cured by God. It's not fair. God is able to grow back limbs. Why doesn't he do it?

I know you're not going to like what I'm going to say, but we don't need God to help us, we need God to save us. The goal is not to make life on earth better for someone only for that person to go to Hell when they die. Recently on Oprah there was a teenage girl who tried to commit suicide by lying down on a railroad track. She was so mad that she didn't die, but not only that, she no longer has any legs. If that's what it was going to take to save that girl, then that's what happened. Now when she appeared on Oprah to tell her story, she said how she was happier now that she has found God than she has ever been her entire life, even when she had legs. So you see, God is unlikely to grow someone's limb back, but you don't need all of your limb to find satisfaction in God. If that person makes an earnest attempt to know God and believe Him, then that person can use his or her testimony to reach other people who have been in the same situation.
