The reason why i joined Crunchyroll was because they subbed most of the anime's i watch however there are some that i can't watch yet i still download Anime that don't show on Crunchyroll not trying to be kill the anime industry here it's just that i can't literally watch One Piece here in the U.K since mangauk won't sell it and importing One Piece is too pricey for me am i really a bad guy?

Oh I imagine lots of people download anime. I joined crunchyroll because you are indeed correct that some anime costs too much to buy. I joined to watch new anime and get ideas of what anime to buy. I still buy anime for sure but CR helps to cut costs down.

Mainly for the hd-streaming, major cut down on the ads in the streams "commercials are for TV only imo" and well it's legal. I like having a legal option to help cut down on my download habits.

I won my first membership, continued to have one for watching Gintama. steaming the shows are much easier than downloading for me, I watch one episode and I'm done I try downloading it and in the same time it would only be about half way done and fan-subs add in or leave in the most unnecessary things.

I originally came to Crunchyroll as it was pretty much the only place where people uploaded sub'ed Gintama (back in 2008). Once they changed to subscriptions to watch the anime the week it came out i only used this site for trolling. When Gintama returned i got the 14 day free thing but my god the streams on Crunchyroll are slow as shit now compared to other sites.

All those other streams > crunchyrolls.

Bleach

Then I found all the other animes I've never heard of before at Crunchyroll so I've been getting my money's worth.

i did it to support the creators i like my anime dvds somewhat cheap if people keep torrenting its just going to make the company's mad and start charging more.

I chose between paying for netflix that I never used or crunchyroll. I like the high quality, no adds, and no stupid chat on the sidelines.

Given the choice I always go for the legal way of watching stuff. I like what they have here and I want to support the industry as best I can. By helping make places like CR a success it lets the production companies in japan know there is a viable business model here and hopefully that brings more shows to those of us in the rest of the world.

As I see it, Crunchyroll being successful is good for everyone.Otaku around the world get more shows to watch quickly and easily and the Japanese companies get a wider audience to appreciate their stuff.

Plus I think knowing that there is a world audience for their shows is having an influence on some of the stuff they are making. Panty & Stocking was practically a love letter to American animation style shows like Dexter's Lab and Powerpuff girls while adding an adult twist to things. and Tiger & Bunny is a very interesting new perspective on American Superhero stuff.

I like having a legal way of seeing my anime and dramas. I've downloaded torrents and whatnot but there's a cost to that too. Maintaining my ratio nearly cost me my broadband account several times. Also I love streaming movies and shows, I barely even watch my discs from NF anymore. I think I had one disc for 8 months. I only own movies that I really, really love. My entire library now consists of 5 discs.
