The reason I love and appreciate Jmusic, is that its unique. Nowadays in America you can't find meaningful lyrics. You can find love, happiness, death, and life within Japanese Music. Even though I am barely learning Japanese, I can try to understand what they say by their videos or by how powerful the voice is. Jmusic isn't only something that I listen to. It's something I have grown to love and respect, admire.

All those that have come into this group, please put what you appreciate about this wonderful music. Let others know how much you like it, how much your influenced by it. Arigatou Gozaimasu.

It's unique, and it has it's own personality. It is so different from other music, that you just gotta love it. I'm more addicted to j-rock and visual kei than pop, but I appriciate it too, 'coz it's completely different than western pop music. Japanese rock is awesome, and I love it from the bottom of my heart <3

Oh, I loved Japanese music because their lyrics (well, majority of Japanese songs, anyway XD) are so beautifully written, and very creatively thoughtful. The words touch my heart, and they're so meaningful they make me happy. ^^ I also like that most j-rockers write their own songs, so that makes it even better 'cause the words they write come from their hearts and souls. I don't know about a lot of people, but when I first hear really awesome songs yet hadn't read the translations yet (like Kodou and Saku by Dir en grey for example)...just the emotions and music put into the songs touch my heart in such a meaningful way I didn't need to know the translations. It's...the song is just beautiful to hear, and when you read the translations, you're not so surprised with the lyrics. You know? I'm bad at explaining things, but I know that a majority of people would agree that most American songs just don't touch my heart like most j-rock songs. I love how so many Japanese singers put so much heart and soul when performing live on stage. It just...really makes me happy and grateful. ^^ People think songs about death is bad, but I don't think so if you write the songs beautifully like Dir en grey. Gah, am I making any sense? O.o Sorry if I'm confusing anyone here!

All I got to say is I agree with you all the way. You explained the meanings of what you feel perfectly. That's the way I feel with the Jrock music as well.

well, i love the beat (more into jhiphop/jhippop).and yes, also the lyrics, like those of ayumi and the gazette.

also the vids.mostly in western music these days, they show a lot yet the video is so meaningless.more blingbling here & there, more almost naked girls and gyrating movements they try to pass as dance steps, you know?not all of course but you know what i mean.

The reason why I respect and utterly appreciate japanese music is because of the artistry and creative lyrics. It is is also pushing me to learn the language along with many others so I can get to the point where I don't always have to look down at the subtitles so in a way it's educational. The artistry in it is captivating (and when I say artistry I mean make-up, clothes, hairstyles, types of intruements and they're for and how the music is played), once I saw it the first time I guess I couldn't stop seeing and hearing the music. For some reason while I'm listening to a specific band I compare the singer's voice to that of another and I try to sing along. Again I suppouse the main reason why I appreciat it is the educationa; bit and the music itself!

Well, the biggest reason why I respect japanese music, especially j-rock, is that it's unique. The sound in the songs is different than in the western music, and well, it's much better, I think. And I really like Japanese and in the songs it's beautiful to hear that language :3 Many singers' voice is unique, too and it goes really well with the music the bands are playing. Like ayabie, Aoi's voice makes it sound something different from others. And in the lives all the band members are doing their best and usually the vocalist put his(/her) heart to singing just like ChineseDragonKeeper said ^^
I think one of the reasons I love j-rock is that the lyrics are beautiful and have usually written by the band's vocalist or other member. There is a message in it and they have write the song from thei heart.
I also like the way j-rockers, especially visual kei bands, are loading to their look. The clothes they're wearing, woah *-* Well, that's not important thing but I like that anyway.
