Took me a couple of hours to finish this... It's Kirino, the too-cute-for-words protagonist of OreImo. ( Colored pencil, free-handed with the help of a piece of official art. )

Please feel free to offer me any advice that would, in your personal opinion, make me a better artist; or anything that you feel would've made this particular piece better in any way. All criticism is welcome.

Wow it's really well done for free-handed and with colored pencils. You used them very nicely. Not much else I suppose. Great job!

Thanks much! And that's almost the exact piece of work I was eyeballing when I drew this! ( Minus the background... if I remember correctly, what I had was a vector. )
Anyway, thanks again for your comments!

I wish I could use coloring pencils like that. I'm stuck at doing black and white pencil sketches

Thanks for the kind words, but don't be so hard on yourself! Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses. For example, 60% of my time at home is spent drawing, but I wouldn't touch my doodles with markers even if you paid me to. I'm actually a lot like you, almost all of my drawings never end up colored. This one is just an exception, I guess.

very good it looks just like her. The color pencils look great in such a way I can never get them to look.

Thanks you very much!

By the way, I'm sure if you posted some of your works, you'd probably be suprised by how many compliments you would get on them. If there's one thing I've learned in my time doodling, it's that your work is never as bad as you think. Since it's something you created, you just naturally see the imperfections when you're done. It's kind of an artist's curse, lol. But there's nothing wrong with that, as it's what motivates us to keep improving.
