I am epileptic, so no drivers lisence so no car.

That said, this is my day to day

Wake up 40 minutes before work, hygene up, walk to work (10 minute walk)

Work repairing computers all day in a small business local tech shop. 6 days a week 9 hour shifts and alot of OT involved.

Can't find the courage to hit on girls you are charging for repair work.

Due to not being able to get out much, i'm not very athletic and am overweight for sure, and i have a sit-down job.

My boss used to be my best friend, now he is a father of 2 and runs a small business. We're still friends we just can't/don't go hang out.

My roomate is a Pothead and works 3rd shift so the only thing we ever do when he will give me a ride is go get food.

So I go home after work, check for new anime torrents/crunchy roll shows. Start dinner/order dinner, and watch anime till the days shows are done. If it isn't too late at night, i will play some PC games or PS3 Games.

Wash rinse repeat, sunday is my only day off so i sleep in a little, and do 6 days worth of laundry, then hope someone wants to do something but nowadays i have no friends, they all got married with kids and moved off.

I try my damndest to encourage my roomate or boss. (my only two friends) to go do stuff to no avail, we get out maybe once a month it seems.

YMCA closes very shortly by the time i'd get there by taxi, and taxi fees + ymca membership racks up, so i haven't bit the bullet on that since paying all that for 1hr at the Y seems crazy. No one goes outside around here so if i go around the apartment complex a bit its a ghost town.

When you quit playing MMORPGs your like WTF, where is the planet?

I don't watch "normal" tv, the only motion pictures i watch are Movies and Anime.

lol not sure if I should answer that. Let me put it this way.

I work in IT and have for 15 years. I got am over 40 and got my first PC by myself at 14.

I am married (twice) and have a 22 month old. Here is a list of my hobbies.

MMORPGs (eq2ext)
Reading sci-fi/fantasy
anime
cooking
gym

Now, folks see me and I look like a bouncer, but yet I am a total nerd/geek.

I don't think your an Otaku. Unless you have a room full of just anime objects (dvds, figurines, manga) and have an orgasm when a certain new anime comes out your fine :>

As for the gym, trust me there is ALOT you can do at home for losing weight and exercise. Don't even need a weights. Here is a good link below to look at

Yes, because your interests are causing you to become antisocial.

You're just a stereotypical nerd, not an otaku (Don't take offense to this I'm a nerd as well). Well you might be an otaku, if your room looks a little something like this that is...

yeah I'd have to agree with the majority here,
you are not an otaku.
I consider myself an otaku mainly because my mind is almost always revolving around anime,
but you sound pretty normal.
I could be wrong

An otaku is a person who takes a certain interest or hobbie to such an extream to the point of obsession. You're not an otaku, yet it sounds like you need to get out more.
