Hi all,

I'm pretty new here and, how to say that?... I'm kinda looking for some information from your part.

You see, I found myself rather annoyed to read mangas and at times not understanding fully the plot of the serie for I did not understand what was happening behind the stage.

Who didn't wander at one point what the heck really did happen during the Restoration or even what caused it? What about the Sengoku Era? Well that's my point and the question I'm really asking here is:

How do you search for these answers? Do you have some Find it All kind of website? do you Wikipedia it? or you any other ways?

Anyways, I hope you'll enjoy the discussion and find it about as enjoyable as I will :)

Cheers and keep it on!

Mah boi, the forum's manga section is what all true warriors strive for!

Um, how about reading from the first volume if you're having problems?
Or you could just wikipedia it or search google if there's a specific "wikia" page for the manga you're wondering about.

haz a gud day

Well the thing see is, sometimes, even watching from the start, say ruruoni kenshin, albeit the fact they give you a quick overview of the back ground it doesn't really tell you why things turned sour during the revolution or other factual key points.

From your answer I take it you either don;t bother asking for more information from a manga and read the story as it is (which is fine also) or go straight for one particular point of it and look for an answer related only to one point. Am I correct ?

You see, I'm kinda interested in making a web site liking history, geography and mangas together so that people who like me enjoy looking at what happened before, during or after the story of my favorite mangas. That is also why I'm asking you, fellow Ottakus, what would you search for and how!

If all you have is just a passing interest in the historic period in question, then just go to wikipedia. But you have to understand that wikipedia is not 100% accurate. If you seriously want find out everything about a historic period then you will have to go to a bookstore and search the books there.

Makes sense I guess.
Say would you guys satisfied with a web site give a background check of both history and geography or cultural references even about your favorite mangas? If so how would you search for it and how would you name it?
