Personally I'm actually fine with the Censoring. It's not as blatant and annoying as it is with other shows (EX: "Emergency Leaping Cat" to cover things up). The use of shadows for censoring lets us see the shape of what's happening but not the grisly details and for the most part my mind tends to fill in the gaps, which can often be more unsettling. Classic horror like the original Alien film created amazing atmosphere often by not showing things instead of trying to overwhelm the audience with gore.

and after episode 5 and I am actually pretty glad for the censoring, cause damn.... that was hard enough to watch censored. Uncensored I can't help but feel I would be looking at my lunch splattered all over my keyboard.

I think the censoring takes away from the experience. It briefly removes your focus from what's going on and makes you focus on the fact that they censored it. It's not a big deal, I say go with whatever the artist wants.. but then why would they put it in the show if they don't want to show it? Ultimately the censorship of anime seems unnecessary to me personally, but to each his own. I do agree that they do good job in this particular anime of not making it quite as blatant though

I did not realize it was censored so...good job! BUT, as an artist it sickens me to think that any art needs to be censored. it should be presented exactly as the artist released it.

I have to agree with Greylurker. The censorship is good for a few parts, and it is not like all of the gore is censored. Besides, if you have not noticed, most of the censorship was done by the people who created the show. The use of shadows to censor the images is more of a psychological torture for the viewers so that they know what is happening, but they cannot actually see the images. This is pretty brilliant of them.

I don't mind the censors for now, but when the dvd comes out, I would love it to be uncensored.

I didn't know it was cencored until you mentionied it. Even though it's not shown how it was originaly created you can still feel the dramatics of it. You can't really tell that it has cencoring so that's good too. I don't mind gore that much, but I don't like seeing what I had to eat a second time around; if you know what I mean. Though the bleeps when they talk do annoy me. I'm not sure if that's how it was or if that's just cencoring, but I could do without them. :/

Yeah, noticed on some of the cursing parts it was censored. I rather have it raw and uncut in my opionin. But its not a deal breaker, I think its funny to hear them curse.

I'd prefer uncensored. This is the internet, a crazy, untamed place. What's a little profanity and gore going to hurt?

I hate shows that get censored. I noticed it right away and can't stand it.
As premium members we should get the uncensored versions. Doesn't Crunchyroll get the shows straight from the producers

totally agree with almost everyone here; uncensored is best. I didnt realise that the gore was censored - no wonder it didnt really make me cringe much lol, but now that i know im going to be looking out for it >.>. The bleeps really annoy me, i mean even if the subs were censored it would annoy me.

I think a rating like PG, 12, 15, 18 etc would suffice, there no need to butcher what the artist originally intended. If people dont like what the see/read/hear then they dont need to watch.....

I actually think that the censoring makes it more dramatic. I'm not exactly a fan of gore, but I like that they give you glimpses of it. Now, the censoring of words...that's a different story. I hate it, flat out. They already show certain curse words, unless those were just put in by the person who put in the subtitles. But still, I wish that they hadn't censored the words. It annoys me. ^^''

But, I personally don't want to let the gore prevent me from watching an anime with a good plot. And it'd be a hassle to have to skip over every bloody scene in order to avoid the sight of entrails splattering everywhere.
