Hey guys~

Wanted to share this thoughtful letter from the AJA (The Association of Japanese Animations) to all the Crunchyroll users. The AJA consists of Anime studios, such as Studio Pierrot, Tezuka Pro, and Sunrise.

As you remember, we together raised over $55,000 dollars to go towards the rebuilding of Japan. All of the donations were then delivered to the AJA to support the Japan Red Cross Society.

The AJA wanted to express their appreciation and gratitude for your heartfelt contributions and support in helping rebuild Japan. Yuji Nunokawa, president of the AJA and CEO of Studio Pierrot, who animates Naruto and BLEACH, , has written a letter to Crunchyroll users. Again, thank you for your willingness to help those in need during a devastating time in Japan and for supporting Crunchyroll as we continue to bring you licensed content directly from Japan.

If the letter was dated 25th April, how come we're only seeing it now??

while the letter was signed two weeks ago, we still needed to receive it in the mail from japan, confirm it is okay to display on crunchyroll, scan it, notify all crunchyroll members who donated first, then post in the forum

Awesome! I didn't think or expect to hear back from anyone when I donated, I just wish I could do more. It is good to hear that our help was appreciated.

My guess is crunchyroll had more important stuff to do than post the letter. They did translate it to English for us...give them a break. I was not expecting to even see any form of thanks so it is nice they posted this letter.

Although I donated too and this is the first im hearing of it...maybe they only notified large contributors?

Obviously we should have another donation!

we donated without expecting something back...

I must question, did you actually check your email before reading this then? The email was only sent out early today.

Touche, LiRa89. Maybe we can get the rest of the back episodes of Bleach seeing as how they animate it . Though it's okay LiRa89 said it nicely, donations weren't made to expect something in return.

Hmm, but then I'd feel bad about asking CR to ask Studio Pierrot. They would have to go through some hurdles to get the remainder of Bleach on Crunchyroll I presume and that would make me feel bad too because they'd probably be made to feel obliged to humor us.

It wasn't a favor from us in the first place as we didn't expect anything in return. It wasn't out of the way for any of us.

Alas I'll live with the steady release of Bleach back episodes once a week which at this rate will take approximately 90 weeks to catch up to episode 266 which isn't the current episodes. Come to think of it 90 weeks is short of 2 years by 18 weeks. It doesn't matter I'm a patient man. My loyalties lie with CR to the death. I'll even donate my _____ to CR. That's how loyal I am.

Wait am I getting through with my Bleach plea I wonder? It's me just pulling a leg. If I'm pulling too hard here CR I'll give you my leg.
