Would you draw a nude model?

No thanks. I don't want to see someone's body parts and I may end up laughing at the person.

You do what you have to do. You must get over the awkward feeling of seeing somebody else naked and focus on your art.
So me, if i was an artist and I had to draw somebody naked for a passing grade and get my diploma later on in the future, I would do it.

You could feel awkward and immature about it and not get a passing grade and take the course all over again, or suck it up and get it over with.

How do you expect to learn anatomy and the human form if you're not willing to look at it?

You took the words right out of my mouth.

Anyway,

If you don't feel comfterble then people should buy themselves an illustrative reference guide. Most tend to have plenty of nude photos (or non nude) in different types of positions (not sexual...) and taken in different angles. It is extremely useful. I wish I ripped the libary bar codes from the reference guide books and take them home. Just don't have it in me to do such a thing...

I think its a very neat skill that is thousands of years old and helps you appreciate the human form in any form. You might get stuck with a wrinkly old lady, but just think how you can make this wrinkly old lady beautiful on the paper.

Yes, you are just drawing, i'm not looking at it as a nude female/male body, but just as an artist. You're just painting, there is nothing wrong with it...

If you wish to really understand human anatomy as an artist , just do it. Studying anatomy by looking at a real life model and using references /pictures are two different thing.

Ehhh no.... My OCD will kill me, and i have to have overtime with the nudist for weeks until my drawing is in the way i wanted it to be... Is the boob proportional? shit.....

Of course ._. Why not? It's the human body and they are willing to pose, to say that they are disgusting is just plain rude.

I have drawn a naked woman, and it's only weird if you make it or see it that way.

The first time, though.. I'll never forget that. One of the boy's tried to make a cheeky comment and they got in SO much trouble!

I already have. Well , I'd say that was quite awkward at first then I got used to it.
I just avoided eye contact and it was all good.
