Man after the 5th episode intrigued me , I went ahead and read the manga, all I have to say, is that they left a few major characters out that helps build the relationship for the main character Ganta, including scenes as well . Looking at the manga and anime as well, they both showed their own emotional development up to the point I have to admit saying, "they should've put both the scenes from the anime and the manga together." I don't know if this anime was released earlier before the manga developed, but if they did I think that's how the anime couldn't stay exactly true to the manga . However the anime did make the story darker than what the manga did, that I'll admit, and here's the spoiler, the beginning where Ganta came to Deadman Wonderland he was also suppose to meet Azami, where Yoh took her place in episode 2, the scenes during the locker room before the Dog Race, and I guessed a skipped scene (it's in the manga) where Ganta meets Azami . At first I thought she was a minor character, so it was understandable for her to not be in the anime, until I read later that she actually became a major character for Ganta( ... ). I don't know if the anime will add her in some later episodes, but as I mentioned before, if the anime was released early when the manga was developed, then that might've been the conflict for anime having different stories than the manga, like they did for Fullmetal Alchemist . I don't have the true information about the anime and manga release date , but if you guys know, please tell me, and what are your opinions about this, please do tell. ^_^

I know for sure that the manga is released mush earlier than anime ...and in fact that there stay to confirm about the animation news at about chapter 30 something ....

well I think Azami will pop out frequently after awhile ...since in the beginning of the story her part is not so important .....

Since seeing episode 5 and so on, they are really moving the anime fast, and skipped a whole bunch of characters and changed scenes, it just makes me feel that the characters are less interactive now, but it also helped me gave a hint that they most likely have a limited total episode, so they do have to change the scenes (like an anime episode limit of 12, 24, 26, or 50), so it's understandable, just that its too bad that they can't have it that way. Anyways, thanks for the info d0uble!

I like the manga more.
Because when Asami first appeared, I didn't expect her to end up becoming a forgery. And Hitara and Chaplin were characters who were barely seen, but I liked them lots.

The manga is much better overall, it includes some additional story and character development that I think most people would enjoy reading that they have cut from the show. If you really like the show I definitely recommend checking out the manga as well, I don't think you would be disappointed.

And the morality of things this series showed on the manga is great, but unfortunately the anime made it weak, due to the part in episode 11 when Shiro and Kariko was about to get raped, in the manga Ganta and the rest of Scar Chain went in together to save them, whereas the anime showed only Ganta going there by himself, what happened to the friendship in that.

In the beginning, both the manga and anime were showing the same scenes, but have different situations (like added in a scene or made the situation better than the other), in a way it was like why couldn't they have added both of those together, but as the anime continued on and developed it started cutting things off and gave me a sense of weak character developments. So in my opinion the manga is better and for understanding the series more, it's best to read the manga (with the addition to the fact that there are no black screen-fade censors on the killing scenes).
