it depends on it. sometimes the characters look worse on the coloured manga than in the normal one

That actually is a good question.

I'd say the black and white gives it an unique appeal I'd like to keep on them. Of course the occasional colored page is nessessary so you can see the haircolors and clothe colors of the charecters but that is plenty enough,

If manga were fully colored it would be just like any european /american comic and it would loose half of its magic, not to mention it would likely start to become drawn with computers.. something that caused me to cancel quite a few superhero comics that swapped to that trend. It just looks ridiculous compared to hand drawn.

if it's in color... it would take longer for each chapter to be finished :)
I already am impatient when waiting for manga chapters, please don't think up any more things that would prolong it kay? ^_^

But manga are comics...Even in Japan they call them "comikku" on pretty much all the manga and anime sites...
I assume you mean American comics. There are plenty as serious as more serious animated and drawn stuff from Japan. I guess the reason you dislike them is that you haven't found one you like yet. They're like books in that regard.

As for being on topic, I really wouldn't mind either way, though the odd color page is nice. I just hate the way Viz Media print theirs in black and white (Fullmetal anyone?), though I guess it's better than nothing.

lol yeah I did mean American comics >< But I honestly don't like the style of art or the story line of American comics (even though I'm American myself =w=), but I have seen comics that looked pretty good. But they aren't my style.

As for Viz media.. I don't have problem with their black and white at all.. it must be the structure of the Japanese manufacturers or something.

I agree with him. Manga in black and white looks amazing as it is. Colored pages every now and then just adds to the beauty of the Manga. The tiniest details like hair color, color of clothes and color of the background increasing the interest in the character/story (if not mentioned) and gives a more refreshing look. Just my 2 cents.

If they could color manga without cutting costs somewhere else, then It would be the same, but with color, but they couldn't so I don't want color.

I find manga with color kinda annoying. D:
Either I don't agree with the way they color the characters or the colors are too pale. o3o

I don't really mind having it in black and white. For me, that's what makes it a true manga!

I love seeing how they use shading to express what colour it would be. It's very unique and clever!

Personally I love black and white manga. Sure it's nice to see some coloring here and there once in a while, but for it to be a regular thing would be...not right? Lol i don't know I just find black and white better; more intense

Personally, I think it would have to depend on how it was colored. Because part of what lead to and keeps American comics charm is that they're painstakingly colored. That being said I think that's one one of the things that helps set manga apart from other comics is that it isn't in color but still translates accordingly.
