sayonara zetsubou sensei has a lot of lessons one such is that the accomplishments of one often overshadow others

best example they used is that Madam Marie Carie is well known for her achievements like her work with radioactivity and her Nobel Peace Prize yet few realize her husband Pierre Carie was also a notable scientist winning a Nobel like his wife so did their daughter Irene and son in law Frédéric Joliot

Kara no Kyoukai. This anime made you think about the hazards and consequences of escapism, suicide, drugs and other controversial issues that plagued our society. The show also speaks about karmic retribution.

I believe One Piece teaches many good principles such as the importance of friendship and staying true to your promises
then again most Shounen anime carries these teachings

Pretty much every anime ever made for young males. They all teach, that with hard work and lots of training, you can become stronger, both mentally and physically. I don't see very many western shows that show kids put into a great deal of peril, and usually they are forced to come through a trying ordeal with only the training they've recieved, and of course a stiff upper lip. Wow that was deep of me... *Burps, then scratches himself*

Full Metal Alchemist. The very notion of fair trade and it not actually being fair at all, and bad choices will come back to bite you. Literally in some cases.

Also Naruto of course. I mean the guy never quits no matter what. Will of fire indeed!

- shouldn't be a coward (Yoga hhas this attitude)
- protect others
- it's not all about you and what you want. But think of others.
