well i could not stand any shoujo anime until i gave Skip Beat a shot and found myself really enjoying the show... Hilarious and unpredictable, and definitely out of my typical genre of anime. Was a good breath of fresh air between Deadman Wonderland and The World God Only Knows... Just wondering if there are other ones out there, or is Skip Beat just one of those rare Gems.. others that i found i liked that could have been Shoujo, Ai Ayori Ayoshi, and this takes me back Yucie like 9 years ago haha Thanks for responding in advance..

this is kinda vague and seems subjective the the personal tastes of the individual

just looking for suggestions, i dont really care whose taste it follows... And would be cool if someone said why the Shoujo was to their liking.

meh if you want something that is extremely funny and crazy but also talks issues politics, racism, moralities then you should give arakawa under the bridge a try.
if youre into the generic pervy shows with echii then sora no otoshimono.
Or something completeley different like Eden of the East

Loli I've seen all of those anime, they're all great but I dont think they fit the "Shoujo" anime category, besides Eden of the East"
I would recommend an anime like Fruits Basket or Gakuen Alice.
Both are great anime with action, emotion, and all the shoujo anime elements
Another one thats a great shoujo anime is lovely complex (lovecom), its pretty funny a romance and such

from the Top; Fruits basket, Gakeun Alice, Lovely Complex

Authentic girls' shows which I have enjoyed:

* Magic Knight Rayearth. The original comics are about to be re-translated and re-issued by Dark Horse. Media Blasters/Anime Works released a remastered version of the TV series on DVD not long ago. Both have some pacing issues, but I think the original drawings look better than the Rayearth TV series designs...

* Utena. The TV series and the comics were created around the same time. While I thought the comics were okay, the TV series is full of "whoa, that just happened moments." Check out the new version from Rightstuf if you have some money to spare.

* Kodocha. The translated comics went out of print, but if you can find them, they're not bad... ten volumes with a pretty good ending. The first half of the TV series was released on DVD. (The other half is expected to linger on fansubs... though keep in mind that the TV series doesn't have much of an ending.) Kodocha is fascinating -- it can go from hyperactive comedy to thoughtful drama in a moment.

Daa! Daa! Daa!
Miracle Girls
Card Captor Sakura
Magic Knight Rayearth
Gakuen Alice
A Little Princess Sara
Vision of Escaflowne

I find most shoujo anime from the 2000 to beyond less appealing.

i didnt really watch much anime after 2002, until i got my own laptop about 2 months ago... I did see alittle bit of Magic Knight Rayearth and Utena when i was in my early teens. Thats also how i found Chrono Crusade in 2002 (one of my favorites) Thanks for the suggestions, it took me a little courage to make this request, and i think i will go see what Gakuen Alice is about ^_^. I own the manga for Tsubasa Resevoir Chronicle, dont know if i like the idea of Sakura playing cards Is she like a completely different character? Thanks again for the input Much appreciated
