South park is the only show that stays dangerous and crosses the line and they've stuck to their course through and through.
Which is why it's always funny.
Matt and Trey have balls.

A lot of people think The Simpsons has been going downhill for a long time. I think it was great until about a year after The Simpsons Movie came out. Then it really did go downhill. Also, this following comment will probably get me laughed off the forums altogether, but... I never really liked the old Simpsons episodes, as in Season 1 and 2. They've always seemed too wholesome and tame for me, by a long shot at the expense of being funny. In my opinion, the show's peak was from Season 6 - 12.

I liked this latest season, but I admit it's best years are behind it.

Edit: If anyone hasn't heard, they are renewed until at least 2014.

Eh, Groening probably got tired after awhile is all. Coming up with new matieral that stays consistent to the original tone for over twenty years can be hard, you know? Long running TV shows tend to change after a while.

At the time, it was considered totally wrong and taboo and inappropriate for kids, especially thanks to Bart; it's a time period thing.

Agree!

I always thought that Lisa is the one that changed the most; in the first seasons she was still a little girl, smart, but still a little girl. In the more recent seasons, it seems she got old and stayed as a midget.

Homer has become stupider, and stupider. Check "138 Simpsons Special" for more info on that.

It saddens me to say this, but no it isn't. I don't think the last 3 seasons have been that funny.

Of course their is the occasional funny episode, but overall it just doesn't have it anymore.
