All things should come to an end and the Simpsons really should of come to an end a good few years ago , maybe after the Simpsons movie was released.

Their jokes were some of the most clever and well thought out social commentary, miles ahead of the just straight slapstick of family guy or south park. It's just now the average audience is about the short term instant laugh moments and the simpsons are trying to do just that, but not well. Futurama is probably the best successor in the clever writing department, being it's another Matt Groening creation but they should have axed Simpsons years ago.

In the earlier episodes, Bart and Lisa were depicted as just being kids having fun, and now, all the kids in the show have iPhones, iPads, and other smartphones and electric devices. Aren't they supposed to be like 8-10 years old? Plus, I feel that some of the episodes are trying a little too hard, but that's just me. I love the Simpsons regardless, ever since I was really young, and I will still watch it whenever it comes on.

Sout park's still alright, but ever since season 16 theres been a bit of a drop, and I also like the boondocks, goes places no other satire shows DARE go to and does it correctly.

I feel like on some level because it is ending, it's soul and everything that is good about it is moving on to Futurama. This is all well and good as I am not much of a other series I could name but won't because I don't want to upset anyone, sort of gal. To each their own though. I find that Simpsons when it is really good now is more heartwarming than funny, which is fine to me. The world needs more of that .

The only episodes I watch once in a while are the reruns of the 90's which I consider the best of all. I still wonder how many more seasons is going to last until?
